"Environment Canada had issued a special weather statement, saying between 50 and 100 millimetres of rain was expected in some areas, particularly near the lakeshore. The agency said more than 64 millimetres of rain had fallen at Billy Bishop Airport just south of the downtown core in only two hours. By the time the rainfall has stopped, 72 millimetres had fallen."

Still raining here. The grass & gardens are happy. Still very muggy outside, with no relief till next week. Would be a great Summer to have off to lie by the pool or at the beach all day, soaking up the Vit D.

Good morning fellow Canucks!

That was some rain last night. It started just as we were leaving the house to take my son to swimming lessons. We dropped him off at the door, and my wife and I sat in the parking lot listening to a Nazereth CD in the car. When the CD was finished, the rain stopped for a moment. Just as we were entering the rec centre, it came down hard again. Thankfully, driving home was drier.
