@Ciel - I am so sorry to hear of your dad's passing. I was incredibly impressed at how diligent and extensive your organization was in preparation for this very trying time. As far as death certificate goes, the funeral home gave me a "certification of death" which I have exclusively used wrt my husband's passing. I am still needing them 2 years later for unanticipated reasons, so ask them for a lot of copies.
I am a wedding officiant and our company has told us that marriage certificates are taking the government at least 20 weeks to process and that this may become the new norm. It used to be 12 weeks.
You've been incredibly prepared but don't downplay the emotional and unpredictable effect grieving has. It hurts but there's really no getting around it. Be kind to yourself. You've had an incredible responsibility on behalf of you whole family.
My sincere condolences.Last edited by avoncallingu; Sun, Feb 24th, 2019 at 04:38 AM.

@Ciel Condolences on your loss. It was years ago that I lost my dad, but I will never forget how utterly devastated I felt at the time, even though I had known for a few weeks that he could pass at any moment.

listen to how thrifty this is -i am having a hard time finding socks for my size 9 foot ,so I was telling my dear daughter-in-law and she really likes the fuzzy socks I got her at xmas from Costco she asked if I had another pair which I do (it was a 4 pack )if I give her this new pair of socks I jokingly said her sock drawer was overflowing and she told me if any fit me I may keep them within reason -so I just may take her up on it -lol and maybe get a few pairs
supper tonight pasta and meat sauce
I am just doing laundry and relaxing today -gearing up for babysitting on Monday at 6.20 a.m is when my daughter-in-law leaves for workLast edited by coupon girl; Sun, Feb 24th, 2019 at 02:09 PM.

@Ciel no words can express the loss of a loved one. Praying for you and your loved ones during this difficult time.

Dh & I spent most of yesterday outside watching the hens enjoying the sunshine. Supper was bbq chicken breasts with rice and peas.
Dinner tonight will be bbq hamburgers with side salad, I have no giddy up and go today (haha).
My nurse cancelled due to the freezing rain so fingers crossed she comes tomorrow.
I hope the expected 10cm on top of the ice doesn't create commuting issues for the guys. Reading week ends tonight for my eldest. His swelling from the wisdom teeth is finally slowing down.
Wishing everyone a great afternoon!2019 is the year that we continue to save before we buy!!!

I was able to take advantage of the 20x offer at SDM again this week and this time on both cards. Stocked up on some much needed stuff and overstocked on others because it lined up with points. With three men in the house you can never have enough Dove men shampoo or Irish Spring body wash. Both cards had the Miss Vickie's offer & at 2.00 a bag I could not resist with the 600 points for every 3.00 spent.
Friends don't let real friends pay full price.

Hi all! We stayed at casino Friday night for a relaxing evening. Since we were planning a late dinner at the steakhouse we went for salad around 5 in the lounge (free) then i gambled for a bit and called it quits when up over $450!! Figured take the luck and run. So we relaxed in hotel room for awhile. Dinner was scallops, escargot, tenderloin/striploin, asparagus and gnocchi. Bill was $155!! But free with comps. Breakfast was at buffet in morning (free) They had loaded a special one day free slot play of $45 for Saturday only. I stopped at a machine and cashed out $75 and left! We had a great night!

Yesterday i had time to kill in Parry Sound between hockey games. I was going to spend $50+ for 20x the point but could really only find toilet paper so i decided to wait till i was home today. I did get a free box of tampons with SCOP. Today i spent $46 at SDM ($20 in coupons) and received 19,000 pc pts so i was happy with that. On to RCSS. They had Stayfree pads on for $1.94 and I used $2 coupons. Perfect timing to build my stash! Came home to put everything away and then made a tray of homemade mac and cheese for my oldest. Kitchen is clean.

Good Afternoon Everyone,
I got a bit of cooking done but not as much as I had planned. With that being said I did come across a number of new quick fix recipes we can make during the week to stay on track. We are definitely going to need to shop this week or we will run out of fresh fruit & veg. Right now veggies are already getting tight, after dinner tonight we will really only have mushrooms, carrots and peppers.
Today I made Oatmeal in the Crock Pot for my breakfast this week. I use a recipe that also has Quinoa in it and is made using mostly Almond Milk as the liquid. I really like it as I find it extremely filling.
I also have a batch of Chia Seed Pudding in the fridge to put in individual containers for a snack this week.
I have also made my Apple Cinnamon Water for the next 2 days. The recipes for this really vary most call for anywhere from 1 to 3 apples per water bottle. Personally I use 1 apple per 2 water bottles. I cannot bring myself to use more as you can refill the bottle a couple times a day but once your done the apple is mush and just needs to be thrown out.
As well I have cut my lemon to keep up with my warm lemon water this week. Most suggest using half a lemon but honestly I find it to be a bit much for my system, it was actually causing heartburn vs help reduce heartburn. I find using a quarter of a lemon works best for my system so I get 4 days from 1 lemon.
I did not get any baking done but have found a couple quick recipes I could whip up after work if I choose to.
Today has been a bit of a rough day as I am not feeling my best (could be that I took another round of meds this morning so the feeling bad could be the meds attacking kicking in). But because of this food is really not appealing to me today which may be the reason I did not get that much made.
Laundry is going as I type this, need to go put the last load in the dryer when I am done this post. Also ran the dishwasher this morning which has been emptied and reloaded. There are a couple dishes in the sink I will wash after I do the laundry. I also tidied up the dinning room table, there is more to be done but I got some done so I am happy.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,
