RIP Doris - loved that song, and her singing voice.
Recently I rewatched "With six you get eggroll" - and it was even funnier than I remembered.
My favourite movie of hers is "Pillow Talk"

Always adorable..... Doris was the standard for the " good girl " image Hollywood wanted to portray. I so admired her stand on her private life and how she embraced helping animals get adopted with her foundation. Animal rights were her passion, much like another great gal....Betty White!
Apparently she did not want any fanfare when she passed, no hoopla or a silly large funeral, so I just hope her adoring fans respect that.

Oh no
He was always my favorite on the Carol Burnett show.
When he cracked up Harvey Korman, sometimes that was better than the actual skit.

RIP Funny Man - countless hours of laughter brought into my life by this man - loved that dentist skit, as well as his Old Man and Mr. Tudball - yup, and any time he would crack the other cast members up on the Carol Burnett show.
- for those of us who were children of the 60s and 70s, we are losing all the show biz greats we grew up with...
Yet I know some of them have survived the generations, because my son loves the work of Conway, Mel Brooks, Don Rickles, etc.

Grumpy Cat, the feline famous on the internet for her permanent scowl, has died aged seven, her owners say.
A statement says she died on Tuesday following complications from a recent urinary tract infection.
The cat from Arizona had "helped millions of people smile".
Grumpy, whose real name was Tardar Sauce, went viral in 2012 after photographs of her sour expression emerged online. Her image quickly spread as a meme.

Italian film director Franco Zeffirelli dies at 96
He is perhaps best known to many as the director of the 1968 adaptation of Romeo and Juliet – starring a then-unknown Leonard Whiting and Olivia Hussey.
The Florence native directed stars including Elizabeth Taylor in the 1967 film Taming of the Shrew and Dame Judi Dench on stage in Romeo and Juliet.
The two-time Oscar nominee also served in the Italian senate for two terms as a member of Silvio Berlusconi's Forza Italia party.

Gloria Vanderbilt, Builder of a Fashion Empire, Dies at 95

Quite the life she had, it's an interesting read
