Well hubby and I had a nice stroll thru the museum (an hour) then son called and said "oh I forgot to ask you last night can you pick up Ashlyn" geee kids we had planned to go to a nice coffee shop
So we went to treasure hunt but hubby went out to the car he was feeling dizzy and light headed so I rushed my few things thru the checkout
1.00 dish cloth (I only like thin ones and this is white bonus)
8.00 marked down to 6.00 Jurassic park towel for Sebastian (as I am always picking up the girls stuff and never him ,so will take it to Toronto next time I see him)
2 purex lock and lock glass leftover container 15.00 marked down to 8.00-so 4.00 each which is a great price
Then I convinced hubby to stop at Harvey's as maybe because he didn't eat that is why he was light headed (used a coupon 2 can dine for 11.99.
I am home now relaxing with my earl grey tea

Happy March.
I have been busy WORKING! So nice. BUT no agreements yet. So that might change fast. We are picketing after school hours this week. We have to do one day. I did today and will also do tomorrow (my assigned day). I have a dinosaur head I wear with a sign that says "Cuts to Spec. Ed? Not all ideas are good ones. Remember the plot to Jurassic Park?" The kids like the dino head as I wave to the buses. We get more positivity with a dino head.
Hubby and I have started Kitchen Wars. It must be a new meal/recipe and low cost is part of the score. Not every meal will be part of the competition, but I have two planned this week, he has one. Last night I made a breakfast pizza which ended up being a total cost of $22 to make. Tonight I am making beef stroganoff with Epicure spice pack I got off of the free site!
@SassyAshley when I struggled with my migraines, anxiety and depression developed because I was in pain EVERY day. The biggest symptom was "I didn't feel like myself." Yes, take care of your mom, but also take care of you. I tried everything before taking a medication. I wish I tried that medication earlier now that I am on it. Just sharing my experience because I felt so alone. It came on so unexpectedly I thought I was crazy. I am now the healthiest I have been in years. The first few weeks I felt so guilty for taking the pills despite my pharmacist hugging me and saying (this will help you, you are treating your brain).
Everyone has their own health journey. Ashley, I wish you the same quality I life and happiness I have now, however, you find it.Last edited by Granger; Wed, Mar 4th, 2020 at 05:04 PM.

I just made myself a breakfast jar for the morning. Oatmeal. Almond milk. Peaches. Strawberries and mango. Heat and eat. Cost prob around .25 cents!! Compared to the $7 plus $5 delivery fee if you dont spend $30 from local company. Next week I will get back to making my lunch jars.

So much for not doing anything in the kitchen. Made chicken fried rice. Pulled cooked chicken from freezer since the chicken in fridge was gone. I also pulled pasta sauce from freezer. Cooked 2 1/2 packages of pasta. We had pasta for dinner. Leftovers and chicken fried rice in the fridge so DS had good food to at on his strike day tomorrow.
Kitchen will be cleaned and dishwasher put on after 7. DS can empty it tomorrow. I put a load in washer as soon as i got home. Will toss it in the dryer after 7. And put another load on.Last edited by Frugalbigmama; Wed, Mar 4th, 2020 at 07:53 PM.

Good Evening Everyone,
i meant to post last night but the night got away from me. I did not get much done last night as I was so tired. I was very Zombie like I was so tired and just not feeling me best. This is weird yesterday it felt like it was in my chest but today it is all in my face and sinuses. All I managed to get done was to pack a box of stuff Mom needs to sort (more on this later).
The good news was, Mom was in a much better mood yesterday, she called me after her Doc appointment and already I could tell she was in a better mood. Good news (we think) is she does not have a Kidney Stone, he thinks it is muscular as the only thing that showed on her tests is that she has a fatty liver. The nurse had told her this the day before and I think she was panicking as she googled it and became very focused on everything she would never eat again. But when she went to the doctor he told only minor life changes are needed and to stay off google until she talks to him as she was going to worst case scenario which is not where she is at. There is still something else going on I do not fully understand and I am not pushing so we will see how this pans out and hopefully some clarity comes so a least I/we understand what is going on.
With all this being said she is in a better mood and did point out a few things we can get rid of/sell but when I asked her to sort stuff from a box I emptied, well that wasn't going to happen. I was hoping we would get more done today but I can already tell there is no point in going there, it will not go well.
I worked from home today as I did not have an office again. This is probably good as I am not feeling my best. I was hoping to get more video work done but my phone would not stop ringing today and I got pulled in 500 directions so very little video work was done and no new videos recorded.
I am still doing some work now. I talked to a co worker and we are going to work on a project together (we already knew we already knew we had to tackle this project this year, but we decided to put a proposal in front of our boss), so I am working on my part and what I need to do my job. She will then add what she needs to do her job so we put a new process in place where hopefully everyone is on the same page.
There are a lot of good things going on at work right now but for me it is really overwhelming as it means there is a lot on my plate and most of it no one can help me so I just need to push through. They understand these are not things I can get done in a week or even a month but it is hard as no we have new staff coming on which means training will be needed and even less time for me to work on these projects. It is just a bit overwhelming, I really wish I had just one project I could get done, hand it and be like I am done.
Alright well time for dinner, so going to take a bit of a break and we will see how I am feeling after dinner. I might do more work or I might just relax and watch TV. We will see.
Have a wonderful night everyone.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

Since I am scheduled to teach 5 consecutive instructional days in a row, I get a temporary pay raise for 4th and 5th days. Those two days I’ll be paid at the same pay rate as I would be if I was on a teaching contract. A little extra pay...I’m not complaining. I’m already working with the teacher and preparing for her week long absence.

I bought 4 boxes of couscous for a total of $1 oop. Now I have to figure out some recipes, possible flavours, that I think my family would enjoy. Any suggestions?

Good Morning! Wow Thursday already! It's a nice sunny day here this morning. Feels like Spring is around the corner

DS and his friend are enjoying sleeping in this morning because of the strike. I was just thinking geez March break is in a week so another week off.
I put away the pots that were drying on the counter. DS is to empty the dishwasher today. They had a few dishes in the sink...it never ends.
I dreamt about the last 2 pieces of roast beef in the fridge from the roast I cooked the other day. They were still there when I woke up so I packed a bagel/cheese/lettuce/mayo and the beef and will make a toasted sandwich for lunch. Yum, my fav!!
My fav PC MC was in the mailbox last night (my replacement from losing it on my trip) I headed straight to Mark's and now have a $212.00 credit being applied. Will hit Costco on Saturday and have a bag of returns for there. Finally!! Been meaning to return this stuff forever.
Enjoy the day everyone!

Good Afternoon Everyone,
Ever have one of those days that just feels like it is taking forever???? That is me today. Don't get me wrong I am getting quite a bit done which is nice but usually on days like this by the time I get home, I am done for the day.
There is so much that needs to be done at home but at the same time there is part of my current project I can only do at home and I am running out parts I can do at work. So tonight I really should do more prep at home so I keep pushing along with my project.
I really need a way to find more hours in the day but also to not be tired during these hours. I woke up early this morning and felt ready to go but that had passed by the time I left the house LOL. Probably should have been my first sign it was going to be a long day.
I have to also look at the budget tonight and move some stuff around, it feels like every time I turn around right now there is something else we need. Plus now Mom does need to make some dietary changes so she is looking up new recipes and options which leads to, we need to grocery shop. I am worried we are going to run out of Chicken soon (yippee another item for my never ending Costco list). I need to stop on the way home tonight for Milk and my goal is to only buy milk, unless they have Heavy Cream on Sale but I am highly doubting they will (another thing for the Costco list, it is the best place to buy it).
I really wish some of my stuff I have for sale would move, I was originally going to use this money for house renovations but now I think I would just use it for household expenses. I am trying to fight this gut feeling that something is going to happen around the house and the bill is going to be, well not pretty. I know we should have money set aside but honestly it feels like we are always reacting instead of planning because anytime I do have money set aside it ends up getting used for something else.
Oh well, not going to think about money right now, instead going to go back to work.

Well last year regarding home renos hubby and I painted our family room and kitchen grey/white cost was $250.00-50.00 gift card from son for xmas =200.00 that's all we did as we had an awful summer with son-in-law's mother passing away and my health went down hill also .
Forward to the spring we are getting a new front door very pretty with one side panel (so a wider door)we are going with the same company we have always dealt with . I will have no more screen door -yeah and our front will look lovely (curb appeal) W e have lived here 22 years this summer and it is old .So called and he is coming on Friday to measure and book .
Each year we try to do something in the house either outside or inside ,some years we have missed .
