    - assorted chapman's premium ice cream tubs, bars, squares and sandwiches $3.98 (could only pick up 1 box of the sandwiches cause we have no room in our small freezer

    package of 20 x 7" paper plates (hot pink) @ 4 cents

    package of 20 x 7" paper plates (lime green) @ 4 cents

    81 feet/24.6 metres tissue streamer (hot pink) @ 4 cents

    81 feet/24.6 metres tissue streamer (lime green) @ 4 cents

    54" x 108" plastic tablecover (powder blue) @ 4 cents

    This was the Simcoe RCSS but the same prices are listed online and there are several other colours/items. If you're inside a RCSS today or tomorrow, you might want to check out what's available at your location. Lots of colourful party/craft items for not a lot of money!
    I found more at RCSS and the 4 cent price was just too good to resist.

    The regular price of 1 package of 50 party napkins is $3.00.

    For a total of $4.00, I bought:

    25 x packages of 50 party napkins @ $ .04 each = $1.00 (powder blue, hot pink, lime green)

    25 packages of 20 paper plates 7" @ $ .04 each = $1.00 (powder blue, lime green)

    25 packages of plastic table covers @ $ .04 each = $1.00 (powder blue, hot pink, lavender)

    25 tissue streamers (81 feet long) @ $ .04 each = $1.00 (powder blue, baby blue, hot pink, lime green, lavender)

    I bought these in-store but these colours are the same price online. If you check your local RCSS online, it will show what they have available. I searched for "party supplies" and then clicked the "price reduction" box under "Promotion". It shows that the clearance price runs until 06/01.

    My store seems to have; Table Napkins (Powder Blue), Plates (Lime Green), Tablecover (Powder Blue), and Streamers (Hot Pink, Lavender, and Baby Blue)

    I don't know why corporate would be putting down this price for them. Since it isn't store specific, this is coming from higher up. I know our SAP staff CAN'T go below $0.24 for markdowns (Or so I've been told)

    Four cents is an unusually low price for any item and I was surprised when I found the party items marked down that low just over 3 weeks ago. Since then, the stores I've been to (including yours in St. Catharines) have been restocking the shelves and keeping the 4 cent price in place. The only item of the ones I've found that has returned to the regular price is the hot pink 7" paper plates (pack of 20) that I bought earlier for 4 cents and is now $1.25. Everything else that was marked at 4 cents back in April is still 4 cents.

    It's also interesting to note that not all RCSS stores are changing the shelf tags to reflect the 4 cent clearance prices but, when scanned, the items I listed in my deal above are still, as of this past Saturday, scanning at 4 cents.

    Another interesting note is that there are some items, like the table covers, that are identical but the packaging is different. For example, one package of hot pink table cover will scan at 4 cents while another exact same colour but in a different package (and different UPC) will scan at $1.25.

    Crazy, crazy, crazy low prices but, whatever the reason, I'm likin' it!

    Someone PM'd me to ask how to find the clearance deals online at RCSS. I've been SmartCanuck shopping for eleven years and I've always appreciated when other SC members share their expertise. So, for anyone else who may benefit from the information, here you go!:

    You go to the RCSS online site www.realcanadiansuperstore.ca

    On the top right hand side, you should see where you can choose the particular location of RCSS that you want to shop at. Click on that and it will let you choose your store.

    Once you have your store selected, anything you put into the "search for product" bar at the top will only show you what that particular store has in stock. It works for any product in any of their departments.

    For the $ .04 items I found, I first put "party supplies" in the search bar. Once you have come to the party supplies page, you will see "Filter By" on the left side of your screen. Under that, you will see "Promotion". Click on the little "v" and you will see "Price Reduction". Click on the box next to it and a check mark will appear. Your screen will now show only the items in the party supplies category that are on sale or marked down. Whatever is available at your local RCSS will show up and you should see a number of 4 cent items. This will vary from one RCSS to another so, if you have more than one RCSS near you, you might want to see what another location has and decide from there which one you prefer.

    If you are in the store itself, you may find, as I did, the the shelf tag does not necessarily state the $ .04 price. Use the self scanner and, hopefully, you will be pleasantly surprised. I hope that helps!
