Finally, I called Walmart regarding my april 30 online grocery order about the ad match I had 6.20 worth but she told me they wouldn't ad match the cookies as they were substituted,and the blueberries just didn't ad match so she is giving me a credit of $4.35 which I will take -credited back to my credit card.

Funny hubby told me to give up ,nope why should they advertise ad match if they are not gonna follow thru.So 4 calls later I am finally getting it ,it made my day .

Popped out to No Frills for a little break. Found tons of coupons

Spent $13 and change and got buns x 2 package, bagels (for DS) romaine hearts, bananas 2 x 8pk AA batteries, cucumber and a lemon. Will make my meals from this the next few days.

Sassy- The PC frozen beans I like are on for $2. I was going to buy some but I'm trying to use up what we have 1st.

I have 2 pick ups tonight. One for $20 and one for $10. And that was just old ads that were posted. I haven't even started posting yet. Tonight I am on it!

I dislike how they make us jump through hoops for something they are offering/promoting. Good for you not giving up.

THanks I got the Huge Costco bag for I think just under $10, pretty sure we are stocked up for a couple months

Did not get to take a break this afternoon as I had hoped, I got working on something and thought about stopping but just wanted to power through an get it done. Plus we have a couple of people off today so I spent quite a bit of time handling some small things, they were easy but kind of make you feel like you mind is in 500 places at once.

I did decide before I have to take over on chat I was going to take a little bit of me time so I take a nice hot shower. Then I dug out a book I read years ago on vacation and decided to read it again. I have been doing some reading for work and have enjoyed that quiet to myself but we are done our latest book so now I think I want to read something for me. Goods news is I have some books from years ago I read but since it has been years I can re read as I do not remember all of the diner details, win, win for me, a book to read and no $$$ spent.

Thinking tonight we will do Breakfast for Dinner, Eggs, Bacon, a Potato Pancake and Toast.

I have noticed lately with once a month shopping if I keep "treats" in the house since I have been buying them consistently and we have them on hand we are actually eating less. We both know we have bacon in the freezer we are both constantly home for breakfast but we aren't making it as often. This works for me as it means we are actually buying it less often. Maybe since we always have it on hand subconsciously it is no longer a treat?

Actually I have to say we are going on week 3 from our last shop and food wise we are holding up well. There are a few things we need to buy, a couple pantry items we aren't out of but will grab to have an extra on hand and some perishable items that will need to be eaten as they won't carry over. All and all I am impressed fridge is still stocked, freezers are full it is a good month. Won't lie I would love to be under budget on our next shop and maybe even out our budget without moving money around.

Productive night so far!
Cooked pasta to make a pasta salad for tomorrow. DS's duvet is outside drying in the sunshine. 2nd load in washer will be hung out to dry. Dropped DS and his friends off at the beach. Bbqing burgers with ceasar salad for dinner. ( will save dinner for DS)
$20 sale was done while on my drive and the money under my mat!
Now I'm organizing diningroom to start posting crap for sale!

Did anyone pay attention to the new hydro rate for Ontario. Sure it’s great that I can just do laundry whenever but is a lot more than the off peak rate was last summer. In fact it’s only a few cents less than the on peak rate. Our hydro bill is going to kill us. DH and I both know we are WFH for at least 4 more months if not until 2021.
Evil rabbits are eating my kale or worse snapping it off and leaving it to rot so we wrapped the garden bed with the lettuce and kale. Fingers crossed it works.

thanks for the tip lilo-never noticed about the hydro bill .I just got mine hydro and water bill from electra and it was $20.14 cheaper than last month .I am drying everything on the line ,haven't used my dryer in ages .Even thou my umbrella clothesline is so old and tippy (don't wish to buy a new one as that's $100 or more ).I use the railings on my back deck to dry my towels on a hot day -lol

Something ate 2 of my geraniums out front ,could have been the bunnies or whatever .

You must have been getting a wonderful peak rate before they did a flat rate near the end of March of 10.1 and now the 12.8 until October 31. Our mid-tier, before what would have been an increase for summer, was 14.4 and top level was 20.8, so even with the 'flat rate' now of 12.8 this is still lower than even our mid-tier and much much lower than our top tier. While I hate the PC Govt I do like and will also enjoy the rebate they give on each bill which really helps. Sadly the rates went up since last summer and I never expected them to roll things back to last summer rates.

Sorry to hear you are getting hit hard, but if your current top tier was only a few cents above the current 12.8 then WOW you definitely had a great deal.

Received an email from massage therapist. Starting back July 2ne. Rate increase $5 (for the extra cleaning) and have to wear a mask while having a massage. Not sure I would enjoy it not being able to breathe while faced down.

I am liking the upcoming No Frills flyer. I may have to have a little stock up shopping fun. I want to use up the freezer stuff but they are making it hard!

my frugal tip for the day -I am using up small tiny bottles of conditioner,body wash and shampoos,as I was saving them for travel .I realize that's not happening anytime soon.

I am going to mend hubby's socks and a pair of pants of mine .Do any of you still mend with a needle and thread ?Just curious .
Have a glorious day and the warmth is coming ,glad we cut the lawn last night at 5.30.

I too have been using up my travel sizes and mending what I can. I find because socks are such cheap quality, they don't last as long even with mending :-(

I too am annoyed as I have gotten in the habit of doing everything after 7pm. Time to work under candlelight - just kidding. I suspect hydro rates will jump even further once covid19 is over. Can you deduct some of your costs while working at home?
