Lady just messaged me wanting a ladies top i posted for sale. She asked if i had other clothing. Put my rack out with all the ladies clothing for sale and even pulled 5 more tops from my closet.
We will see what she buys. Told her to just leave money under mat for what she wants.
I think tomorrow i will put the rack out with boys clothing and a table out with all books and the take pics and set up appts. To come look. Will see how that goes!
3 tops sold and she sent an etransfer! That works for me!Last edited by Frugalbigmama; Sun, Jul 5th, 2020 at 01:36 PM.

Question for the cauliflower fans who might use the veggie in their juices and smoothies (the book I'm reading suggesting using cauliflower to replace bananas to lower the sweetness of the blended goodness one can make)-how is the taste and texture as a result? I know sometimes I find bananas to be too sweet when I snack on the fruit alone and would like to know if cauliflower adds some oomph to juices.
I have a couple more celery/apple juices to make this week and then will take out cauliflower or the broccoli pieces from my California veggie mix bag in the freezer to use for future juices.
Changed my mind about the bottle drive-decided to do an early walk to pick up at least 3 empties I knew were on the ground and did a much longer walk to find 7 more cans. Took my containers later to the drive drop-off site-hot, hot, hot but on the way back, I made a point to climb up and over the big mound in the front of the Rotary Centre. I liked the elevation challenge and I can see myself returning in cooler times to go over it again several times (it mixes up regular walking & surfaces). I managed to spot a dime after I was about to dart into a road lane to snatch someone's dropped plastic strapping before an approaching car got into the area.
My second Marks shirt order is half-fulfilled. One shirt is in processing-guess the chain is looking to see if it can locate a store with the specific colour and size requested. Added $5 to my bank account as the balance was really low and I believe I have a cheque that still has not cleared my account (1.5months later).
The heat is affecting how much solid food I can eat as I am favouring liquids and pop with ice in the glass. However, my body is telling me to do something as I have noticed pain lower down has been lingering this week which means I have an issue and the upper part is feeling larger too. Juicing, here I come! Had a nap around lunchtime and my feet were grateful as well not to be in action.
Sort of flip-flopping over the cheap printer purchase. Given my run on cash, my brain is telling me to skip one tech purchase in order to have more grocery cash for this heat wave. But I still need/want software access and a printer and this is the month to make both or at least of them active in July. Decisions, decisions.

2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

I made supper tonight. It has been a while as that has been DH's job. Slow-cooked chicken, rice and beans. Eat your way. I had mine on tortilla. Kids had chicken on rice. I also made devilled eggs. Lots of chicken leftovers for other meals.
I told DH about shortfall and I could really used his help. He said okay but I need $270. I was a little skeptical, because the three-d printing hasn't been great. He has been having problems with the print bed. I told him no more failed investments. He then returned $900 in 24 hours. He invested in some toys and flipped them. I was happy with that!"There are more important things--friendship and bravery...."

Yesterday I went to Dollarama and used our $25gc win. Then submitted the receipts for $0.10 Caddle.
No Frills
Used $20 in points and $11 in coupons. $3.75 CO51 for yogurt.
Since my blender broke last week and I currently can’t make smoothies or smoothie popsicles, I’ve switched to making orange creamsicle popsicles. I combine orange juice concentrate, plain yogurt, vanilla yogurt, and some milk. The mixture is quite delicious and the kids enjoyed the ones that I made last week. The cheap yogurt is being put to good use.
I have stepped back from Swagbucks this month and I’m just doing a basic amount each day, but not trying to reach 1st goal. I have decided that I have better ways to spend my time and still save or earn some money. I’ve already sold more stuff in 2020 than I did in all of 2019. I’ve also sold more dill from my garden than I did all last year.
I spent time this afternoon sorting more boxes of little boy clothes. I decided to separate and post them as summer lots. I put the rest away in the shed, labeled to sell in the fall.
I also posted pictures/prices of more kids shoes and sandals.
We just ate supper. Roast pork shoulder (NF sale - $6.27 for 7lb roast), potato and onion foil packet, fresh fruit and veggies with it.Last edited by Angela273; Mon, Jul 6th, 2020 at 12:12 AM.

Morning!
Started the day with a $20 etransfer sent to me
arranged a porch pick up at 1:30am for today while still awake. Good way start the day/week!
I'm not going to drag stuff out and set up a mini garage sale today. Too tired and hot for that for me today.
I will organize some stuff and post a few more items today to keep the momentum going.
Cleaned the kitchen from my late night snackers. I need to leave a note saying "dishwasher is ready for your dishes" Grrrr.
I have a bin of laundry to put away. (dried outside the other day) I will put a load on this morning and hang to dry outside again. But will put away as soon as I bring it in. I was in a rush on Saturday.
Hope everyone has a fantastic start to the week!

Breakfast today is oatmeal with flax seed, almond milk and fresh strawberries. Yummy!
I made a bowl for youngest DS for when he wakes up.
I'm scared to go outside to the garage in the heat. Ugh.

Good Morning Everyone,
Okay, much better mindset now, the heat is still getting to me, when will it end? But not feeling as defeated and overwhelmed.
I wish I had success Frugalbigmama has with selling stuff, right now even my free stuff is now moving but with that being said I am going to push on. I have dropped a bunch of prices and there some things that if they do not move by the end of next week some will move to the donation bin. I am going to reorganize what I have and see if I can make room to post more stuff. Since Mom is not the biggest fan of selling things we met in the middle, I will keep selling as we need the money but I have one small area I can store stuff. When this area is fill I have to stop posting. I think by doing some rearranging I can make some more room.
Yesterday I did get quite a bit done, not as much as I had hoped but that is just the story of my life but I do feel like I am in a much better place. We got some Meal Prepping done, not a ton but that was on purpose as I wanted to keep the fridge as empty as possible as we need to grocery shop this week (still need to plan what we buy). I am hoping to scale back a little bit this month, I have a little bit extra in my grocery budget but if we could have 1 month where we come in under budget, that would be amazing.
With that being said nothing in the fridge needed to be thrown out looks like my produce hacks might be working, fingers crossed. But I did decide to use up most of the veggies we do have on hand as it isn't enough to last another and we need the room.
I also got a couple hours of working in, I did not want to work on the weekend but I was just in such a bad place mentally I felt I had to or I was going into this week overwhelmed. I think I am in a good place, I have my to do list for today and let's hope I can get through it.
I need to start on my to do list for around the house, I think the basement is off the table right now as it is just too hot to even work in the basement. But there are some other small tasks I would like to tackle, just little stuff that hopefully with the use of fan I can get done.
Alright I have been fighting with my printer for about half an hour now, hopefully it will work with me soon so I can move on to the next thing I need to get done today and keep checking things off my to do list.
Have a great day everyone.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

Load of laundry is hanging to dry. Cooking up a burger for lunch. Making extra for DS.
Once he is done what he is doing I am dragging him into the garage with me to deal with the empties. We will sort and count into clear bags and pile them in the back of my SUV so I can return them some time this week. This is the #1 thing I want done today!!!!

Giseledta LOL sounds like me if I took vacation, I would probably have meetings I needed to attend.
I have noticed most of our stores have lifted the limits but I am not sure if it is a good or bad thing as the shelves are quite bare and it is hit or miss if they will have what your looking for. I rarely go into stores but Mom went a couple weeks ago and only got about half of what was on our list and they were just every day general items. Also noticed when we were at Walmart when I went to try to get Almond Milk (they had none) there were a lot of empty shelves in the dairy section.
I think September could get interesting for a lot of people. I was reading some articles last night and I do not know how parents will do. I know around here due to the new Covid precautions which I fully understand we now seriously lack Daycare spots and people are getting desperate to find any sort of Childcare as they are being called back to work. I cannot imagine come September if kids are not back in school full time which it looks like they won't be.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,
