Time to prepare for cooler temperatures. Get fall garden and yard work planned and done. Also time to just watch the fall leaves change into their various jewel tones this month!

Still working on fall clothing--need a backup winter coat and another pair of pants, plus 2 more tops. Will keep runners as winter footwear for now (have no idea where I'd find leatherlike runners in my size anyway), as I will be very careful to walk only during minimal slippery weather conditions with my cane.

Toss out any expired September coupons and await the McDonald's Coast to Coast Monopoly game on Oct 5 and PC Opt Scan to Win contest on Oct. 3.

Garden pretty much cleaned up. Much earlier than normal but then I planted in early April so it seems everything has moved up a month.

With your concerns over traction, have you considered those rubberized footwear implements that have little spikes extending underneath to grab on ice? They look like the old rubber galoshes men would wear over their dress shoes in inclement weather. These have little metal or plastic spikes (like golf shoes). You can find them (BearTrax, YakTrax, etc) everywhere, such as Costco, CTire, or other shoe stores.

I have tried them and they do add a bit of traction, but I easily destroyed them with my high daily mileage. Modest walkers might find them lasting longer.

Saskatchewan has 601 new Covid cases today. Over 300 people are in hospital with Covid and over 70 Covid cases are in ICU. Based on population that would equal 7,500 new Covid cases if it were in Ontario today.

    Good Morning Everyone,
Up early and getting at my work, I had something I had to get done before we opened. Had it done with 30 minutes to spare.

On the way home from work yesterday I ran into Walmart. Years ago I was given a mini food processor as a gift and I love it, used it all the time. Mom was using it a couple of weeks ago and the lid broke, I won't lie I was a little devestrated, I use it all the time. I noticed in the Walmart flyer they had one on sale that honestly I had been eyeing online so I went in and grabbed one.

I still need to go to Costco, I had thought about going yesterday after work but with Mom's back I did not want to leave her alone any longer than needed. Good news is her back is getting better she was able to move around a lot better yesterday.

Lots to get done today and time to start crossing things off my to-do-list.

    Have a great Friday everyone.

Sassy what is the name of the food processor you got at walmart and how much if you dont mind? I have been using a plastic one that was my dear mom's and mow it has 2 cracks in it ,it is hanging in there.

Just got on my xmas clothing start for the grandkids ,got sebastian pants 50% off and a top for ashlyn 2.08 long sleeve from old navy,t-shirt 2.97 -cant beat that price and thru in a midi tank dress for me from the gap for next summer $23-50% off (i hope it is nice i went to buy it last night and it went from my bag ,then this morning it was there again except not in petite and i am 5'4 so i usually get petite -we will see if it fits nice )

I would love to get to thrift shops as talize has 50% off on blue and yellow tickets today and sat-we will see . Chilly in the house but nothing sweaters wont fix.
