    Good Morning Everyone,
Up early this morning and tried to get right at it but I know I am a little slower than normal today. Oh well it is Saturday so be.

Well I drank my tea because nothing happens before tea, I hand repaired one of our couch blankets that had a rip in it. It is a comforter off a bed and I did not want the stuffing to come out so it needed to be repaired before it could be washed and it needed to be washed. So I did that this morning, it took me a bit longer than I expected but I can be honest my hand sewing skills are okay but not the best, I am way better using a sewing machine but our sewing machine is on a shelf somewhere in the basement.

I could have gone and dug out the sewing machine but that would have meant moving shelving units but since they came to measure out walls yesterday, I am hopeful they will be fixing the drywall soon and do not want to move them just to have to move them again.

After I repaired the one blanket I put the couch blankets in the wash, they are now in the dryer. Now I have a pair of spare pillows in the washer.

I made a batch of Lemon Ricotta Muffins, finally used up the last of the open Ricotta.

Had some hand dishes to do there were a few dishes that would not fit in the dishwasher last night plus the muffin dishes are done and drying.

I still have quite a bit to get done today, I have a lot I want to get done this weekend. I am falling back into the pattern of getting nothing done during the week so all the housework is waiting for me on the weekend. I need to change this.

    Happy Saturday Everyone

    Good morning.

It’s another day of weird weather here. The sun shines but in between dark clouds and then it disappears. I’m hoping the weather at least remains dry and not super windy like yesterday so I can finally get to the garden. I need to prep the soil and remove some dead plants. On the positive side my tulips are doing amazing and are so strong and tall. Not bad for never growing them before.

If the weather doesn’t cooperate then it’s a day of inside cleaning and laundry. PLEASE LET THE WEATHER COOPERATE .

    Have a great Saturday everyone

i am not sure if i am the gardener ... but personally.. i would do top soil for the garden beds.... and sprinkle some basic fertizer.... or compost in on top. the goal is to get the nutrients in the soil the plants need to grow...

personally.. i always buy the cheapest... then add in compost... ( alot , i have 2 full ready to go composters) and compost tea as the growing season goes on.
for my giant pumpkin.. i added fish imulsion. but that stuff is expensive. lol

what i learned from the farmers... is to add a bit of fertizer.. natural or not .. at the begginning of the season.. 1 or 2 times during the growing season.. and at the end. the end one .. mulched leaves work ,.. so they can naturally decay and leach all their good nutrients into the soil over the winter.

I had been buying Nature Balance for $21.99 for a small bag. But have switched to Costco's own brand Kirkland. The price is cheaper in the warehouse, than ordering online (but still cheaper than most pet stores) and my dog loves it.

My bf has covid, and though I keep testing negative, I have similar symptoms. I heard on the news that the self tests only detects 37% of the current variant yesterday. So I will keep testing myself and stay home for 5 days. I contacted everyone I saw this past week in case they get sick as well. The lady from the bank called and thanked me for letting her know. Covid is nasty. The doctor told my bf that he is lucky he had his three vaccines, otherwise he would have been hospitalized.

I am bored at home, can't read too much as my eyes hurt and I am so tired. The coughing at night is brutal. I rarely get sick so when I do, its nasty.

Today we had a bit of sun, then hail, followed by rain. Glad its not nice out, as I hate staying in bed when it's sunny outside.

Hope everyone has a great Saturday. I have a bunch of stuff to return but that will be once I get over this cold/flu/covid?

Got most of the things done today, still a few to tackle but I am happy.

The couch and living room floor have been vacuumed, same with the Kitchen and Hallway floor. Kitchen floor has been mopped.

Mom's bedding has been washed, when I did mine, hers did not get done.

Fridge has been cleaned, I lost a cucumber and a baggie of grapes that got pushed to the back of the fridge.

    Garbage has been taken out.

Cheddar and Mozzarella have been grated for the week because we had homemade pizza for dinner.

I also had this huge stack of work papers that had been living on the couch and honestly, I have been putting off deal with them. I sorted them got rid of what I could, consolidate notes to get rid of other pages and made a stack of things I need to deal with on Monday.

Tomorrow I need to clean the bathroom, clean the upstairs floors and do a little more food prep for the week to come. I kept out one of the Roasts I bought on Friday so that will be dinner.

I am happy, I have to be honest going into this weekend I thought I did not have a lot to tackle but as I wrote my to-do-list it started to become a little overwhelming. There was a lot more to get done than I thought but knocking it out and getting it done.

My dear friend dropped off Paska bread from Fortinos. I'm in heaven as I love that more than hot cross buns this time of year.
