Morning still waking up early 4.30 a.m this time ,decided to do another black friday shop spent $32.00 at old navy /gap got 2.40 in raketan back,i got the girls leggings for 2.08 each spring colours ,summer pjs for cara 4.88 3 more pair of the same mens socks for me 2.60 each (i love these socks )and a sleep t-shirt for me 3.48 old navy .

I went to keep adding a few more items to get free shipping as i never pay that 9.00 fee ,then website said technical issues and cashed me out ,so i called and said to tell them i dont wish to pay shipping and i was gonna look for a few more items and the woman said are you done -i will reverse the 9.00 shipping fee due to technical issues okay .So i thanked her.

Yesterday i was dealing with pain along side my right foot (inflamation i assume) i have for about a month and half now ,it limits how much i want to walk .So i called the doctor i will see him in dec as he is on holidays .I did ice and wrap it today feels better after i took an antiflammitory pill.Sucks getting older sometimes ,my mind feels like i am 40,body not so much.

@coupon girl Did you notice that Well.ca has some Hatley socks and pjs or union suits on sale? I remember where this brand name came at me before-it was the pj brand used in prior holiday catalogue (Mastermind Toys in 2021 or 2020)?

Mom did grocery shopping late yesterday so there's food for the weekend. She remembered to get the salted butter, raspberry jam and some baked goodies and fruit! I was pleased. All I wanted to do after mowing yesterday was have a tea and ponder staying up or napping. It was dicey between 4-5pm yesterday (I was nodding off).

Bright day with sunshine and a serving of chilly air. Plus there was the obvious smell (in the air) of horse stalls being cleaned out when I had to take trash to the garbage shed. Just glad I did not have yard work plans today. Tomorrow should be milder (11C) before November gets back to more usual temperatures/weather.

Someone on Twitter pointed out that Christmas is a month away. Before I get carried away with other activities, I'll get December's thread up now.

ciel-the hatley socks and clothing are not as cheap as little blue house when on sale ,mind you you dont have to spend 50 to get free shipping like i did .I also got 2 free pairs of ladies socks .Thanks for the tip thou much apprecisted.

O h my goodness both granddaughters are sick ,my dear son got 2 hours sleep this morning coming off nights before his wife went to work.I would go watch the girls if they were not sick ,but i just got over a virus this month .

He has very little tylenol left for the girls also ,i will start looking out for the kids meds for him or my daughter. I think they are due to arrive next week they said .

Put my dear moms 4 and a half foot tree up (didnt decorate yet )-the kids will call it little but i dont care its what under it that counts! My moms birthday would have been on monday ,still miss her 9 yrs later .

Good Day! Just returned home from visiting my mother.

I took her to the casino to gamble for a bit and then we had dinner. We both won! And then a free dinner with points!
Went back to her place and had tea and then bed.
This morning I topped up the gas tank (150.9L) then went to Costco. Returned a few things so a $50 credit on my card and didn't buy a thing. I was going to look into getting a new cell phone but it was about a 3 hr wait. I don't need it that bad. Walked out spending $0.

Went to Loblaws ($1.94 Pistachios. $1 Quaker minis for the boys Christmas bag) Old Navy- I looked around but I have never been a fan. Kids clothing is ok but I find the stuff for adults is cheap. Went to Walmart and bought raspberries.

Going to unpack my bag and get a few things done around the house and then I will pop out later to the gym.

Have a great weekend. Tomorrow is suppose to be sunny and nice out so hoping to get some walking in down by the water and downtown and take it all in!

    Good Afternoon Everyone,
Did not go out last night as planned. Once my work day was over, I shut down my laptop and binge-watched Orange is the New Black well I worked on a scarf I am crocheting.

I was going to go out today but, I do not feel like it. Not sure what is up, I slept last night but I am super tired today. The weather today is not helping, it is very blah here. Grey, rainy & this morning it was super windy. Maybe tomorrow.

I am happy we are doing a smaller Christmas this year but at the same time, I went down the rabbit hole that is Pinterest and found so many things I want to make. I am very into homemade snack mixes this year and the best part is, I have everything on hand I would need to make them. Maybe instead of sending family with homemade doughnuts or muffins for the next morning, I will make them a little treat bag.

Also thinking Christmas morning, I will make Cinnamon Buns for Mom and me. My plans for Christmas are coming together.

    Happy Friday

Hey everyone, does anyone know if free.ca is legit. I've been getting a lot of ads from them but they look kind of sketchy. I don't want to sign up for a scam especially before Christmas.

    Good Morning,
Got up and went grocery shopping this morning, I am happy with my shop but I might go into Zehrs and RCSS if I end up close to them this week for a few more things, we will see. I got:
    1 x Apple Cider $3.99
    1 x Lemons 2lb $2.98 (PM Food Basics)
    2 x Limes $0.69
    1 x Apples 6lb $5.00
    1 x Peppers 2.5lb $5.00
    4 x Blueberries $1.00
    2 x Raspberries $1.87 (PM Wal-Mart)
    2 x Blackberries $1.87 (PM Wal-Mart)
    3 x Cucumber $0.99
    1 x Cherry Tomato 681g $5.99
    4 x Mushroom Soup $0.67
    1 x Steaks 3-pack $12.81 + points
    2 x Velotine
    2 x Yogurt $1.97
    3 x Butter $3.99 (PM Zehrs)
    2 x Fries

The Apple Cider will be used for baking. The Steaks are a treat, we share one so this will give us 3 meals, thinking this might be tonight's dinner. So excited about all of the fresh produce. I wanted to buy a bag of limes but my store did not have any, I am making a recipe this week, and I need a lime for so grabbed 2. I know Food Basics has them on sale but that is 15 minutes away and that is the only thing I need there since I could price match the lemons. I forgot to grab bananas, oh well.

I could not price match the passata Zehrs has on sale because of the wording, as soon as I looked at the flyer I realized it would be a fight so I did not even try. So if I a near Zehrs one day, I will run in.

Time to tackle all of the things.

    Happy Saturday

    Groceries have been put away.

Banana Muffins have been made, I thought about waiting because the kitchen needed to be cleaned but happy I did as they were almost past Banana Muffins.

The dishwasher has been emptied, this should have been done last night but I did not feel like it after I was done work. It has been reloaded as all the dinner dishes were in the sink, on the counter.

The few dishes that could not go in the dishwasher have been washed and are on the drying rack, they can air dry.

Restocked the olive oil, baking soda and smoked paprika.

I was going to not write a to-do list for this week because I thought maybe just maybe do whatever I could and regroup next week. Nope, I was feeling scattered thinking of everything I needed to do so I sat down and wrote a to-do list. I feel so much better now not I wrote everything down and it will feel even better to cross things off.

Afternoon popped over to food basics and got my 5-7 kg turkey $1.88 kg=$25.44 as i fear maybe they may not be cheaper in dec ,this time i got a smaller turkey as only 5 adults will be at my house .Lets face it my 3 grandkids all under 9 ,they dont care for turkey so they dont eat much meat.

I got flour robin hood small bag 5.99-1.00 cpn on bag=4.99
bag of romaine plus a few other greens ,carrots 3.88 sure cant afford 7.88 for 3 pkg at food basics
    vanilla family box of special k 5.49-1.00 cpn-1.00 checkout51=3.49
grapes were 1.88 a pound =$3.33 basically half off
Limit 3 on the butter 4.99 as shoppers is always out when it goes on for 4.69 so for .30 more i decided to get it

They actually had a lot on sale .

I parked my car in the pluto parking lot next door as food basics lot is small, well as i go to push the buggy to my car it states when i get to the edge of food basics -your buggy will lock .So i struggled to carry 4 heavy bags and my purse to the car ,needless to say that is my workout for the day !!!

Sorry to read about the cart struggles in the parking lot. As someone who had walked in that area from time to time, I could not understand shoppers or random people ditching carts at the 4 nearby bus stops or the sidewalk by the townhouses on south side of Rymal. They also impeded any mobility device user from having clear sidewalks (as if takeout/retail packaging litter was not already a sidewalk/bus pad issue). At least the store is minimizing the cart travels now...winter snow is certain to launch more comments to store staff about those locking carts!
