Morning ,
we had so much fun watching the girls run from display to display of lights (spencer smith park near downtown burlington)mind the wind was bitter cold .Then son/family and us went to pizziolio (we went to this restaurant in toronto with daughter once) we split the bill .Then we treated the 3 grownups to coffee from tim hortons (not me as i would have had to go to the washroom after the walk back to the car) lol

Yesterday we spent as a family Christmas themed day. We took part in some mostly free festivities in town.
This weekend I did some grocery shopping and food prepping to take with me. Cooked roast ham, sweet and sour pork portioned and frozen, double chocolate oatmeal squares, and I might make a batch of puffed wheat squares this morning.
I have a 3hr drive back to the rental house this afternoon. I have to replace some burnt out light bulbs there. Then I’ll get to work until nearly bedtime. This is a 5 day school week and I anticipate that it’ll feel like along week too. The instructional data at this school are 25min longer, which is why I had last Friday off…somewhat like a scheduled EDO.Help me out with Swagbucks and we can both earn gift cards and PayPal money

Good Morning! We woke up to snow and it is snowing heavily now. We are under a weather advisory.
I canceled my plan to attend the Christmas party/cookie exchange. I'm not stressing myself driving in this.
Now I have the day! 1st enjoying my coffee. Then will make breakfast and then clean kitchen. Then tidy bathrooms. Then shower and hit the gym!
Feels like a good start to the day to me

Good morning.
4 fire trucks and not sure how many police cars went racing down our street and around the corner at midnight ( so there went my perfect deep sleep I was finally getting). Apparently it may have been a suspected gas leak 2 blocks from us according to our local fb page.
Going for my flu shot in a an hour and a half and not much else planned for the day. I’ll probably tackle mount laundry that I swear grew 10Xs over night!
If the rain holds off we will walk and I’m going to try to get back to running so I’ll hit the treadmill and see if I can make some small but still progress.

cath-i still have a cough the odd time after a few weeks ,i am drinking lemon with real ginger sliced up in it (ginger tea) .Plus an old tale onion water (put cut up onions red or yellow in a mason jar with distilled water let sit in fridge for 8-10 hours then drink 3 tablespoons in morning and 3 tablespoons at night or put cut up onions on a plate near your bed overnight -it does help.

Slow start to the morning for me but that is what Sundays are for.
I have an Italian Parmesan Focaccia in the oven. I was a little skeptical, yeast doughs unless in the bread machine scare me a little, I am trying to make them more but the last time I tried one it was a bit of a fail. As I was making this one although a different recipe with different measurements and a different method of making the dough it seemed very similar and I was worried. But I when I took it out of the oven after it finished rising it was beautiful. The recipe says to use an 8" skillet, my smaller skillet is 10" and my 10" skillet was full.
Going to have some lunch and then I will spend some time in the kitchen. My plan is to make a batch of Broccoli Cheddar Soup and Chicken Fajita Bowls for lunches this week.
No ideas for dinner yet. Kind of wishing I had planned a slow cooker meal but we will figure something out.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

Got my flu shot
.
Dh and I will grab a coffee as a treat since I haven’t had coffee since Nov 18th. I’d better hurry before it’s too late (I don’t drink past 2/3pm or I’m up for days.
There’s a market in a city about 30 minutes away from us and I’m tempted to go so I can pick up a few PB treats before the end of the year from some of my fave vendors.
Also need a new planner for 2023 so I might pop into Home Sense if it’s not too crowded.
Have a great Sunday and enjoy the snow if you have it.

Did a quick trip out for some veggies. I went to Farm Boy. Prices are about the same or better than RCSS but the produce was fresher. I was going to get broccoli yesterday and it looked so old. I am sure lots is getting wasted because people can’t afford 3.00 for broccoli.
I used a 25.00 gift card to a local pet food store to get treats for the dogs stocking. We get the gift card for doing an online renewal of his license so it’s a nice bonus.
Dinner is a pork tenderloin and roasted veg. Which ia really me using up a the veg that is going south but it smells yummy.Friends don't let real friends pay full price.

I don't have a gift card--I was daydreaming once I looked around the Gift Shop and meal offerings for the holidays! My, it'd be a big step up from eyeing people inside Spring Rolls on New Year's Eve out on the snowy sidewalk!
