Our dog is old now and she is waking us up 3-4 times a night to go out to pee, to have a drink or to be put on the bed.
Tonight at 10pm I am taking her for a run. She is such a homebody but I am making her go. Maybe it will tire her out and she will be too tired to wake up to go out!

The correct bed frame arrived today and my brother and SIL are back home so we are sleeping in the new home. We just discovered the weirdest thing, as I was trying to figure out door handle’s because nothing matches I realized we have no bedroom door😂. How we missed that I have no idea. So it’s on the list of things to do. Half the windows have no blinds but everyone of them has a lace valence. Hello 1985. I am hopeful the windows are a standard width so I can order blinds and fingers crossed can match what is already here.

Good Morning! MMMM coffee is good this morning. Looks a little overcast out but I can see the sun trying to come out.

Today- Wash the dishes from the basement clean up ...grrr. Cook ground beef into taco meat. Go pick up on sale romaine hearts/pepper and onion for taco salad. (we have everything else on hand) Pick up more Cracker Barrel cheese on sale to use up coupons that expire soon. Fold and put away the towels in the dryer. Put a load of whites in washer and dry. Put away laundry that was washed and hung to dry yesterday. Go on treadmill this morning and out for a walk in the neighbourhood this afternoon.
I will be making sure I get it all ticked off my list today. The sooner the better since I seem to loose my steam mid day!

    Enjoy the day!

Yesterday early afternoon I had to pop into the office to get something. I was getting ready to go and couldn't find my purse anywhere.
Then I started to worry that I possibly left it in the car and forgot to lock the door (which I doubt- I am very good for always locking the doors)
Thinking it was taken from my car I started to doubt it because my console wasn't left open and in there on top was a bunch of $ bills. And I had an empty purse sitting on my passenger seat- they would have taken it not know it was empty. So I had a slim bit of hope that I possibly left my purse in my office at work.... Phew it was there!!! I can't believe I did that but happy I did!!! Now I want to blow the cash in my purse that I thought was lost lol

I can totally relate to this! After cleaning out the cupboard last week and tossing $$$$ I am reminded to shop smarter.- I am really planning what I am making and only buying one onion for example (when I buy a nice sweet onion instead of a cheap bag of onions) I will buy the cheap onion bag this week (cause its on sale and I plan on using them up with Fall soup/roast making etc) But when I am out of onions and need one for burgers then I am just buying the one and then making sure I use it up (make omelettes, salad etc)
I am liking how clean and not so stuffed our fridge is. And it is really making me use stuff up from the freezer. (which I have chopped onions and peppers in to use when there are no sales/deals)

Walkonby- i think we all can relate,i bought 2 pkgs of paper towels yesterday as i paid 3.99 after checkout51,now i think i am stocked on paper towels .Its true thou with these points ,we try to utilize them when we can .I know groceries have gone up ,as reflected in my grocery bill for the month .
Life is harder to get many deals ,that is why i bought 3 sugar yesterday also 1.99 with scene card.
My stock pile has gone down over the years as only 2 of us ,when my dear mom lived with us i would have at least 10 pkgs of toilet paper ,now i have 3 or 4 tops .
As smart canuckers we are always trying to chase that good deal ,but sometimes we do miss them.

ty ladies ( coupon girl, frugalbigmama ) for knowing the merry go round I'm on when it comes to food shopping.
I JUST returned from NF where before I even started the shop I returned 3 cases of Blue Menu Sparkling waters ( 24 cans ) for a full refund.
When I bought the 4 cases of them on Monday I expected the member price of $3.?? ( I forget the exact amount now ) PLUS the 2,000 Optimum points on each case.

I got no member price or points. I made a points inquiry that afternoon online and it took until this morning for them to tell me " only certain flavours " , ( selected? ) ONES qualified for the points. They deposited 2,000 points in my account for 1 case. Back the other 3 went.

Loved the 3 pack romaine for $1.99 and the fresh pineapples for the same price. Oh and just in time I needed a new bag of AP flour. Got the NN 10 kg one @ $9.99 PLUS 2,000 Optimum points!! Flour is crazy in price so I always wait for one of those big bag sales. Now of course I gotta scoop it into separate large ziploc bags to stay bug free.
Have a great day everyone, the sun DID come out.

Greetings my friends! still summer like here without the humidity which may be back again.Parked inside as ears, nose and throat quite irritated so no ambition.
It looks like people here(myself included) are indeed alike in that stocking up when on sale is the only way to save money. This buying of multiples of stuff to get the "lowest shelf price" is ridiculous IMO.It excludes people on a fixed income or people that live alone. The points plans on the other hand "seem" to be a good way to save, especially when we think we're saving $1.00 or whatever in points. However, is it a $1.00 worth of cash in the wallet or just a way to get us to come back another time to redeem our points and buy more while we're at it?.Any other thoughts on points greatly welcomed here!
Enjoy your day, whatever you may be up to!
    Blessings one&all!

Just spent an hour and half on the phone with my bestie that lives 4.5 hrs away. I so wish I lived closer...she is so isolated .
Planning to go visit in a month so that will be nice

I went for my walk around the block while on the phone with her...and now I finally just ate breakfast.

Off to get the few groceries needed for our taco salad

I agree with you that most points plans are not worth the time and effort.

    1) They are usually at stores that are already too expensive
    2) The items that give points are always things that I already never purchase (i.e. Optimum)
    3) You are paying a premium price for those items to get them
    4) When you redeem, they are for another premium price.
    5) Because of #3 & 4, I evaluate any points as about 30% actual cash savings value

The only points program I am using is Wendy's, mainly because they are not good programmers and have left a somewhat significant loophole open in their application, which results in me getting lots of extra bonus points.

@Skippy I agree too! While stocking up might work for a large family, the offers that I get for junk, processed food does not interest me.

Same as others my offers are odd and rarely what I buy, this week for PCO I have a boat load of offers for No Frills and yet it they looked at my history they would see I have not shopped there in at least 6 weeks and if they looked at my location which we all know they can they would see I am at least 80 kms away from NF. Canadian Tire on the other hand is my points friend this week as we buy the stuff we need so far I have used 200.00 in points and earned another 100.00 which I will use tomorrow as I need blue bins. Blue and green bins are not supplied by the country.

TGIF!!! Nice sunny start to the day!

I need to look at the forecast for the next few days and figure out which day is the nicest for a hike. Bought green onions yesterday so I am ready to make egg salad sandwiches I booked Monday off so have a 3 day weekend to enjoy.

Didn't get my list complete yesterday. Did the important stuff. (clean kitchen, healthy food to eat, went for a walk)
Doubt anything will get done tonight but we will see!

Hope you all have a fantastic Friday!
