oh
@harbie you and hubby living in the fast lane! ha ha Wishing you 2 the best 19-24 year Togetherness Anniversary!
with many, many more!
Quiet night here for me, Leafs are ahead of the Habs ( barely! ) 3-2 now. They allowed Montreal a short handed goal just seconds before the end of the 2nd period....
so CLASSIC Leafs!

Good morning. Wow what a beautiful sunny day
We head into Toronto today for a doc appt. it should be a beautiful drive in. We made egg rolls and a beef noodle stir fry last night. Luckily we have enough leftovers for a late lunch today when we return home.
Hoping to drop over to the grocery store later to stock up on a few supplies. I volunteered to make pumpkin pie and whipped cream for Thanksgiving. I think it's been about 20 years since I've made a pie ...a bit nervous lol.
Have a fantastic day everyone.30

Well we were not celebrating thanksgiving this year as both kids are away -son and his family took a boat cruise (i am sure the girls will love this )daughter and sebastian are going up north fri, sat, sunday to visit a friend ,stay one night overnight and fit in santa's village .
I dont care to rebook it another day the kids told me to take it easy .On monday hubby's brother /wife dropped in and they invited us on monday .I asked if i could bring something she said no,but i may pick up a box of chocolates (as their will be lots of desserts she said).
Washing the sheets today ,may as well since we are getting to 32 to 34 degrees later with the humidex.lol summer in october.

what a coincidence @coupon girl . We're also not doing a Thanksgiving meal this year. Just decided " why bother "? There were some circumstances that influenced the decision but in reality I simply don't feel up to having a crowd over right now. Maybe at Christmas? If DH and DS insist on something for the 3 of us, I'll cook up the one of the Butterball frozen football things, packaged stuffing, instant mashed and canned gravy.....that'll do. ha ha

@ Harbie- Happy Anniversary!
Good Morning! What a beautiful start to the day Heard it will be HOT HOT!
An office day for me today so will be a hang out in the garage and putter in the yard kind of evening. Need to soak in this sunshine.
My friend wanted to go swimming last night...I was out lol.
Brought DS home food yesterday (wings) and could see he ate them late last night. At least they are out of the fridge now and I can clean the fridge tomorrow morning while making breakfast.
Will look over my sale list and see if there is anything I want to grab tomorrow (last day of sale) Romaine for sure (can't beat $1.99 for a 3 pk.) Think I will grab 2 and then wrap them how I did when I was buying the big pack at RCSS. It seemed to last. Will have taco salad for dinner properly tonight or tomorrow. (since we have everything needed on hand other then the romaine). Now to look at the upcoming sale flyers and write out a new list!
Hope everyone is having a great week so far!

RE: Thanksgiving. We are heading to Ottawa for the long weekend with my sister/family and mom. To visit family. Haven't seen my Aunt and cousins for 10 years (saw my Uncle when he came to visit my mom in the hospital 5 years ago) Will be nice to see everyone
We are staying downtown somewhere which will be nice (my sister did all the booking- she loves planning this stuff!)

Good Morning Everyone,
Slept in this morning meaning I wanted to be up at 5 but did not get up till 7 am, luckily it is a work-from-home day so was not late for work. I had a rough night last night so plan is early to bed tonight.
Last night I made Egg Roll in a Bowl for dinner, oh my gosh so good we need to have this more. Not to mention so easy to pack full of veggies.
Tonight I am thinking of either:
Steak Sandwiches
BBQ Ceasar Chicken Wraps
Homemade Chicken Tenders
All would be served with Homemade Potato Wedges and Caesar Salad.
Do not know if this happens to others but today I started working on some stuff for work and it just was not flowing. I was getting super frustrated as it just wasn't coming together. Luckily there are so many aspects to my job, that I switched it up and am working on more of a processing which I had planned to do later in the week. Sometimes you just gotta go with the flow.
As I clean and organize the house I am also looking at things we need to replace. There are some big purchases to come and I am setting aside $$$ for that but right now I am working on some of the smaller things we need. I got Mom's pillows yesterday, I am surprised every time I go into Giant Tiger they never have the same pillow twice and some are meh but some are really nice. My current pillow is from Giant Tiger and so far so good, unlike the Costco pillows I mangle within a few months. I think I have had this one over 6 months.
Yesterday I got an Amazon Order, our Counter Top Cheese Grater broke and we use it multiple times a week, not just for cheese. I also LOVE the slicing blade for veggies and cheese. But let me tell you, WOW these have gone up in price, the original one I got from Amazon was under $20, but now it is $40 to $50. I got one from Kitchen Stuff Plus and they still have them for $24.99 but the closest one is 45 minutes away and shipping is almost as much as the grater. I found what looks like the exact same one on Amazon on sale for $20, plus I found another one that is similar and had a coupon offer which made it $21 so I ordered both.
So knocking a few small things off the house list. I still need a laptop table but I cannot find one I like.
Happy Tuesday Everyone.Last edited by SassyAshley; Tue, Oct 3rd, 2023 at 10:46 AM.

Good Morning! Another sunny start to the day
Looked over the upcoming sale flyers. The good thing is my list is small. Really just fresh stuff.
I haven't bought bread in weeks and have officially used up all the rye bread that was in the freezer. Mission accomplished.
Reducing our bread intake and it is working. If you don't have tons around you don't feel the need to use/eat it.
Now to clean the kitchen that didn't get touched in the past 2 days!
Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Good Morning Everyone,
WOW cannot believe they are calling for it to feel like 32 degrees this afternoon, guess it will be an AC on kind of day.
Was up bright and early this morning, my lower back and hips are still bugging me so I stretched them out before I got up. Then I got right to work as 5 to 7 am and after 6 pm are my most productive times.
I had to run out and put gas in the car, I have a fill up 3 times before the 25th and get bonus points, fill up 1 is done.
Since I was driving right back I ran into Sobey's, I saw online they had Canned Tomatoes on sale for $0.99/can and you get 50 pts for every 2 cans bought which works out to $0.74/can. I was not sure they would have any since it is the last day of the sale but I was able to get:
4 x Diced Tomatoes No Salt Added
4 x Crushed Tomatoes (they did not have any no salt added)
I spent $7.92 and got 200 pts ($2).
Then I quickly popped into No Frills to see if they had any of the Cherry Tomatoes, they did so I grabbed:
1 x Cherry Tomatoes 907g $4.99
2 x Potatoes 10lbs $1.94
Originally I had not planned to buy potatoes as we were stocked up but last night when I went to grab potatoes for dinner I discovered we had a bad potato situation. We only lost about 5 or 6 potatoes but still figured for $1.94 might as well grab more.
Now I am on the hunt for Russet Potatoes, none of our local stores have any. The same thing happened last year but hoping within the next few weeks they will be back. We prefer russets in soups.
Happy Wednesday Everyone.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,
