Quick vent here. Now this has happened 3 times just this last week and many times prior to that.
Was at RCSS - asked for scanner - got the loooong version of there is only 1 person in the department and there used to be 5 of them working together. I'm not Weston or the manager so can't help you there. I feel for the employee but maybe its because some people don't want retail jobs or some don't want to work or the company isn't filling in spots that were previously occupied. I don't know.
Was speaking to woman at the bank ( over the phone) and got the oooh we are so busy its a tsunami of calls. Again, can't help you there, tell your manager/supervisor.
Was speaking to lady at the insurance company - reception - again we are so busy....blah blah. Talk to your manager/supervisor.
Why do I need to hear this stuff? Is it to make these people feel better speaking to customers this way or to feel sorry for them? I can't do anything for these people. It certainly doesn't leave a good feeling telling me this stuff because in some situations I feel that problems could arise out of lack of staff if that is the case. I've seen really busy people do their best and not complain and others just do the minimum, complain they are busy and call it a day.
Was at No frills yesterday - super super super busy. The cashier - no complaints. Was helpful, I price matched, she was pleasant and all went well. I guess I need to go there more often to get my fill of pleasant employees.

Found out last Monday while shopping at RCSS I couldn’t redeem my points . Came home and make a call to customer service to learn that my PCO account has been frozen on the 24 June. Was told that an email was sent to the specialized department to look into this and I would get an email. Got an email on Friday that my account is back to active, decide to call and make sure that it’s not frozen anymore just to learn that it’s still frozen and the email was sent in error and another email is sent to the specialized department. Because it takes 2-10 business days to reactivated. Finger cross this gets resolved . I have lots of points

Set apart Smart Canucks, others like facebook couponning groups members are not willing to share the links of the printables coupons find they do.That is beyong frustrating!!!It is not the first time it happens.Seems the secret coupon or they just want to exchange and trade the coupons not share the links.....And most of the time like today when I do a google search for located the printable coupon I want I dont find it...Couponning should be about sharing ..not being shelfish.Couponning since the last years has changed a lots and for the worse in my mind.Same when someone found a TP...no they dont want to say in witch grocery it has to be found...What is the point of doing this???
The goal is to live day by day not to much thinking hahaha !!!!
I love to save money!!! Frugal life hahaah !!!

a small rant. It got resolved but not before I nearly had an aneurism.
I ordered 2 bags of the Himalayan pink salt from amazon along with another small item. Both bags were split along the sides, small holes just enough for plenty of salt to be in the bottom of the box. I started the online process for a refund or replacement only to be told ( by chat ) that not allowed on grocery items. ARGH!!
There is NO phone number to reach a human being!
Wasted so much time searching Google for different phone numbers and then I called the number on the back of my amazon CC!! Solved! He credited me the cost of both bags onto a GC in my account and I don't have to send the salt back!

Yea, glad it got resolved.
It would have certainly made me "salty" if it hadn't.

Aren't we often quick to complain about poor service but become absentminded about complimenting when an establishment corrects their error?
Although the food from our appy's to the dessert and everything in between was cooked to perfection at Jack Astor's last night, the service and some
noticeable blunders were also part of the annoyance.
Contacting them about it seemed in order and their immediate, apologetic response was impressive. Gift vouchers were sent ASAP. I made sure to thank
them officially online as well as on the phone.

This is a body betrayal rant.
Brand new titanium right knee, feels great,
almost 100% healed, no pain.
The rain nonsensestarted a few days back and OMG. What I used to call my good knee ( the left )
decides to swell up to twice its' size
and refused to bend like a knee should! Very painful, nearly immobile at this point so naturally my arthritic spine reaches out to that knee and said
" may I join you " ?Things are sort of improving today....but slowly. That is all. I'm fine.

Beware of "Naturescapes" mulch! There is a spore that lives in the mulch that is called artillery fungus! The spores shoot out and can land on your siding (if it is close by) and leaves black spots on the siding. It is difficult to remove and labor intensive to do so. This usually occurs after a heavy rainfall or for extended periods of rainfall. This happens because the mulch has not been cooked enought to kill the spores.

Not a true rant, but whenever I start browsing recipes ( sometimes unintentionally ) often I get a " scathingly brilliant idea! " ( reference to Hayley Mills in the The Trouble With Angels )
https://clip.cafe/the-trouble-with-a...rilliant-idea/
So even though I KNOW that DH is going to make a fabulous dinner tonight I now want to make clam chowder! Geez Louise!
I have all the canned and bottled stuff in the storeroom , lots of fresh celery, onions, spuds and carton broth.Must show restraint!
