Took my grandaughters to the mall today let them pickout their treat for doing good in school.I saved 30% and had a 5.00 voucher in hot topics.
Then we are relaxing today building with legos ,pedicures and now i may take them to our local indoor pool for open swim for an hour.
On thursday my son asked if we could take them to their other grandparents (as he is working)for the day as my daughter-in-law is going away for a few days to spend with girlfriends .

Morning! Waking up in a hotel. Had a free room offer that is only valid during the week and expires at the end of the month so decided last night was the night to use it. It was suppose to be a rainy afternoon/evening so figured good night to go.
Now can stop at Costco on the way home! Our membership expired in April so will have to decide if what we want today is worth renewing the membership. (Seem to go through this decision every year
Really don't spend much there but I do like to go and pick up certain things.
Also need to hit No Frills at home for the cheese deal. I can't believe how much cheese my kid eats! For a kid allergic to milk too!
Have a wonderful day!

Costco- Spent $0. There was things I could of bought but it didn't justify the membership renewal. I will ask my sister to pick up bacon bits for me

Running around this afternoon. Bank to deposit $. Town office to put cash down on water/sewar bill and to pay the balance of property taxes owing -not due till August and September but just wanted the cash out of the house! Stopped at Purolator Pick up centre (had 2 things to pick up that they tried to deliver yesterday) Then to 2nd No Frills for the cheese (stopped at another on my travels home this morning but they didn't have it)
Happy to get all those things done.
Cooking up the taco meat now so that will be easy for dinner later!

Good afternoon ,we packed up the girls and dropped them off at their other grandparents (they dont own a car) so we took them .
Last night we took the girls to local indoor pool they both got yellow wrist band which means they swam the width of the pool and back with no touching the bottom. So they could go 4 feet away from me if they wanted ,i was always watching.
Then we came home and we both had a sleep this afternoon .I managed to hang some towels thou.
Now what i wanted to go to shoppers but these knees are limiting what i can do in this heat .So i wont go.

Good Afternoon Everyone,
Just got home today, I was out of town for work. Originally I was supposed to be there until tomorrow but we finished early. I was actually going to come home yesterday but our Regional Manager came so I did not finish yesterday so stayed another night.
I am not going to lie other than being the branch I have been very blah the last few nights mostly just laying in bed and scrolling. I took a bunch of stuff with me to do so I wouldn't just work but I was happy just laying around.
Tuesday night after work I did try to do some shopping but did not find anything I wanted the stores were just meh. I did go into Home Depot to look at washers, turns out they do not have any of the models I am considering on the floor so that was a flop. I am still lost. I tried asking others for their opinions and everyone I spoke to has a Samsung, not going to lie I did thinking about it for a minute but I feel the risk is too high from what I have heard and I am 99% sure our local appliance guy won't service Samsung (not that I want to need him, but I think to know if I do, I have someone to call).
On the drive home I took the back way so I could go into Food Basics for some product I got:
Romain
Raspberries
Zucchini
Portobellos (when did Costco stop carrying these)
Then over to Costco, we did not need a lot, but I got:
Cesar Dressing
Naan
Cucumbers
4 x Stacey's Pita Chips (they are back on on sale and I stocked up)
2 x Kirkland Pads (these were on sale and Mom uses them so I never miss a sale)
I will probably have to go to Costco later in the month but for now we are good.
I was going to drop everything off and go back out for gas and to No Frills but there was an accident which meant traffic was being directed through town and it was insane. What is normally a 1 minute drive took me over 10 because we were not moving. So decided those are errands for another day.

Has anyone ordered from Home Depot for delivery? It looks like the dryer I want is $100 cheaper at Home Depot vs Costco.
Or has anyone bought from Canadian Appliance Source? Our Regional Manager recommended them, they can deliver before Costco or Home Depot.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

@SassyAshley I have used both HD and Costco for appliances and delivery as well. HD was in Ontario for a fridge as Tasco was a huge wait and I couldn’t wait. Price was decent delivery guys were pleasant. Costco was just this past fall after Canadian Appliances said they delivered to my location NS. 2 days after purchase they were like opps my bad we don’t go that far, go find a delivery company on your own. So I cancelled the order and this was a fridge stove and dishwasher, I would never consider them again because of this. So I looked to who would deliver and since I was in no rush looked to Costco. No extra for delivery and found the same fridge and stove for slightly less. I had to choose a different dishwasher because they did not have the model. Costco was easy to track my order and delivery was seamless and this slight hiccup the dishwasher not being ready did not delay the other pieces. Of course I have the executive membership so earned 2% on my purchase. The one caveat is they use a big company like midland for delivery so my experience may not be what others have but long story short to say yes to Costco and HD and no to CAS. Also Costco will take away the old appliances if needed, we did not need that as our stuff all worked so we gave them away.
edited to add Costco had a better less expensive extended warranty.Last edited by lilo0003; Thu, Jul 10th, 2025 at 10:55 PM.

@Angela273 I pm'd you.
Good " almost the weekend " day! The guys hate when I say that as their weekend doesn't really start till well after midnight.
I'm happy the Jays are back playing but it's a late game tonight which is usually tough to stay awake through. Another reason
I record them.
Eat 'em, drink 'em if you got 'em . ( I despise smoking...lol ) Just Googled and discovered the origin of that smoke 'em if ya
got 'em phrase. From WW11 where soldiers got short 15 min. breaks, so not much to do but have a cigarette I guess?

TGIF!
Enjoying my coffee while I wake up. Have dishes soaking in the sink so I will get those washed up.
We have tons of leftovers in the fridge to make great meals- Chicken ceasar wraps and tacos/taco salad! So no cooking today!
Today's plan:
Load of laundry and hang it to dry (need to wash swimsuits from night away!)
Tidy car. (Organize shopping bins/bags, move stuff to house that needs to be put away, give it a good wipe down inside, Clean under seats (water bottles and change)
Make ice packs for freezer. Going kayaking tomorrow morning and want to pack a cooler. Pick up green onion today so I can make egg salad sandwiches
(fav hiking/road trip/summer adventure lunch)
Review the sale flyers and pick up a few things.
Go to Winners and look at make up/summer clothing- I have a $100 Visa GC to splurge with (gift from work)
Ok now to get my work day out of the way so the weekend can start
Have a wonderful weekend!

Good Afternoon Everyone,
Thanks everyone for the feedback.
Busy morning over here, I was up early this morning and got right to work, lots of little things to be done.
I had a few meetings this morning so right at 8 am I went to No Frills, I got:
2 x Strawberries
4 x Mushrooms
2 x Green Onions
1 x Garlic 3-pack
Everything was on sale expect the Garlic.
Then I price matched 4 packages of Ground Beef to Food Basics, I did not want to buy it at Food Basics because I still had a 45+ minute drive home yesterday and since I was out of town I had a cooler bag but no ice packs. So I decided to Price Match at No Frill instead. Originally I was only going to grab 2 packs but I had a spend $30 get 4500 points and to hit the $30 I had to get 4 packs, I was hoping for just 3 but I was keeping coming in just under so instead of the largest packs I grabbed 4 of the smallest packs.
Still trying to decide on the Washer, new plot twist the Dryer is out of stock and no one will deliver until the dryer is available which would mean almost another 3 weeks without a washer. So now I am re-evaluating again. Ideally, if I can find a way to get it next week that would be ideal. I feel for what @lilo0003 says about delivery in NS, here I am considered rural so 5 minutes from me they deliver daily but because you have to come around the bend they only delivery on specific days.
