Lousy day here today-100 car pileup on the hwy and the airport closed for awhile. I think the blizzard has blown through but just the same I am now staying put although I was out in less then ideal conditions earlier.

    Good Morning Everyone,
UGH, my sinuses do not like me right now. I woke up yesterday morning and thought I know this feeling oh no. I am doing what I can, trying to avoid the doc and not end up on antibiotics (I have had some other things going on, that I know Antibiotics will only make worse so if I can avoid). Right now it isn't so bad except it feels like my throat is burnt at the top.

But on a much nicer note, I finally got to talk to my sister-in-law and all is good. We spoke quickly at work because of course all 3 of us are going in 3 different directions right now but then after work we all went out to dinner and decided we are going to do this more often, do things outside of work. Turns out the 3 of us are good but also some other family members aren't just acting weird towards me so that is kind of good to know.

I am now going to go to Christmas which might be an issue as it is 6 days away and I have no plans, no gifts and yeah, this could get interesting. Think we are going with Homemade gifts just don't know what yet. Also guess I need to figure out dessert.

I was supposed to go to Costco after work on Tuesday but since we went out to dinner I did not go so I made myself go yesterday even though I wasn't feeling my best. The most shocking thing happened, I spent way less than I thought I did. She gave me my total and I actually look at the belt to make sure she had scanned everything.

I did make a couple "extra" purchases, I bought a new kettle, they had a nice glass cuisinart one on sale. Also found some meal prep container I got 45 (the box says 90 but it is 45 bottoms and 45 tops) for $30 which I thought was good they are 3 styles, one is just a big container, one has 2 spots and one has 3. Then I grabbed Mom some fuzzy socks and grabbed myself a new purse.

For food, I stocked up on things mostly cheese, we needed cheese slices, provolone, feta, ricotta, cheddar and mozzarella plus I found brie on sale. Grabbed Heavy Whipping Cream and Half and Half for cooking and baking. I stocked us up so over shut down there should not be anything we don't have. I should be able to come up with homemade gifts from what I have on hand.

I do not know why but my brain keeps going to a Breakfast Basket for Christmas, I do not know we will see.

Right now, I have a lot of work stuff to get done and need to decide if I need to shop locally. I did write a list and I feel like there are a few things but nothing major which is probably good since my fridge is kind of full.

    Happy Thursday Everyone.

A short 3K walk, but it felt forever because I had to slog through 8 inches of snow with nearly every step. Wow, that drains so much energy.

    Good Afternoon Everyone,
I wasn't sure if I wanted to go to No Frills and was part way to talking myself out of going when I got a request to go to our local branch and look at a computer.

So I ran into work, fixed the computer, talked to invoicing to fix an issue from yesterday.

Then off to No Frills, I grabbed Mushrooms, Raspberries, Blackberries, Sour Cream, Crackers, Roasts, Eggs and Broth. Everything was in sale except the Mushrooms and the Broth was Price Matched to Sobeys. I wanted to grab more fries but they had none.

Then off to the post office to mail something for Mom.

Then back home for a quick lunch before a meeting and now we are playing catch up.

Still need to figure out dinner.

@Frugalbigmama I also saw many customers buying packages of that TP, an older man in front of me at checkout used a coupon on his!
That impressed the heck out of me.
I was there initially to P.U. a small online order placed the day before. No cell phone, but I just write the order # down and hand that to them inside.

Learning curve for me...IF they mess up and have the wrong product in your order ( which she had THREE of the wrong frozen flatbread ) , they will take
it back and issue you a refund. Sadly I found out that the refund can take UP TO 15 DAYS to process?! WTF? A person could forget all about it by that time.
I stuck a note on my desk at home to remind me to check back in the New Year! ha ha

I took advantage of great personal offers AND coupons that I had added to my card. Those things I gathered separately after putting the online stuff in my vehicle.

Awesome shop really. The staff at this store are the best! They will go into the back and get you fresher packages of herbs, or other produce if what is out on the floor is crappy. The English cuc's looked as if they had been frozen or something. A disappointed senior was picking through and " tsk, tsk-ing " , so I shared with him that if he just asks the staff they may find better ones in back. Not sure if he followed up.

Too bad I went from NF to get a car wash....that experience I placed in the rant section......

I popped over to shoppers today ,the regular cashier i happen to get all the time rang me thru. She mentioned how her hands crack up in the winter ,i bought 2 new avenno hand cream 9.99-7.00 cpn=2.99 .So i gave her one she thanked me .Tis the season.

My neighbour asked me over for a tea ,her friend she said got about 20 of the royale cpn and gave her a few .I would have loved if she had offered me even one or 2 as i never found that coupon ,but she didnt .When does the royale toilet paper cpn expire?
Anyway 20 is a lot to take no wonder there is no cpns when i get to stores.

The Royale is not our brand so I was oblivious to the sale and/or the coupons. I agree that taking 20 coupons is a bit of overkill greedy.
Our fav. brand is this one now.

We never pay regular prices for this one in the stores, instead I've been able to get a great deal with amazon through
their subscribe and save option. A big delivery comes all at once, we never have to think about TP until 3 months later....ha ha

Walkonby -we love charmin also ,but i only keep it in our bathroom .Grandkids can use a lot of toilet paper and it is a bit thicker ,so one toilet was already clogged from their use this year.

Cath -so sorry about your loss of your dear cat.

Lately i have been waking up at 4.30 to 5.00 a.m .Its hard .Today may stop into local thrift store and donate 2 bags .Have to watch the girls tonight til 6.15 p.m after school.

@cath007 Missing Eve is quite expected since she slept with you, but as time passes I hope
there will be a way for you to get the rest you need. Her loss for you is so unbearable, many
of us furbaby lovers know that. Take care.
@coupon girl I agree 100% about supplying the g-kids with a lesser quality TP. We no longer
use any TP that's 3 Ply for the very reason that it clogged both toilets. 2 Ply is the highest we go.

I'll head out soon for a couple of early morning errands, then once back it'll be pen to paper organizing
the Christmas Eve and Christmas Day menus. ( different recipes, and appetizers ).
The written reference is my step by step guide so I don't forget to prep something ahead. It's happened
in the past when I convinced myself I'd remember it all ....lol. Might be a senor/age thing?

    Enjoy the day all!
