I agree with the sentiment, but I think that the manufacturers side with the retailer. I had an experience with my Chapmans ice cream $4 coupon at RCSS. The product was on sale for $4. So, I thought I should get it for free. However, RCSS said that the coupon would only be honoured at the regular retail price of $6; I was supposed to pay $2. I contacted Chapmans and they said that they allow the retailers to handle redemption any way they like.
I recently used my $3 Chapmans coupons at RCSS, when the product was on sale for $3 and managed to get them for free. So, it may also depend on the current management (or else their policy changed after all the complaints!

I just popped out to Food Basics to grab more apples x 2 bags and a cantaloupe, sweet potato and found the fahijta chicken on sale plus 40% off so that is the dinner plan for tonight now. Put the chicken I took out back in the freezer since it was still frozen.
Dinner the chicken/sweet potato (1/2) and fresh asparagus. Late night snack a bowl of melon with a big spoonful of Greek yogurt.

Thursday! This week is flying by! And another day of sunshine!
I was feeling lazy yesterday afternoon...shut down my computer and my oldest son called me asking if I wanted to play tennis... I really didn't but so glad I went. It was a great work out and great quality time
We are going to get out more often and made plans for doubles
My plan this morning. Enjoy my coffee. Clean up my work pile. Take a break and pull some weeds in my front garden.
Dinner tonight is leftovers (chicken/sweet potato)
with the last of the fresh asparagus.
Have a great day!

With regards to coupons there really isn't anything the manufacture can do if a store is refusing or making their own rules as they cannot tell a store or manager what to do. Let's be honest given the grocery store climate in Canada they are not going to threaten to pull their product.
But also on the flip side I have also found that most head offices also do not care if the store is making up their own rules even if it breaks their policies. I have found the general response is we cannot control how a manager runs their store.
I realize how important coupons are for some but honestly, I am at a point where I do not find a lot of coupons we can use and have not really had any push back recently but I maybe use a coupon once every 2 or 3 months at this point. But I think if they pushed back I would just ask them to remove the item and not buy it at their store. But I am lucky I do have a few stores that Price Matches that I could buy it elsewhere.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

@cath007 , I am not sure how disability works in Quebec but I know in Ontario we were told to expect to be denied multiple times before you get approved even if everything is in order and correct, you will end up applying multiple times to get approved.

Good Evening Everyone,
Oh what a week it has been.
I am an aunt again (but it kind of feels like the first time, my cousin has 3 kids but when they had their babies they lived 3 hours away so we really only saw the kids when they came down or we went their for work, so this time feel different). She was born Tuesday morning so when I was done work I went to meet her and ended up staying for a few hours so Dad could take of a few things and Mom didn't have to worry (it was a c-section and at this point they were telling Mom do not get out of bed). She fell asleep and took a 2 hour nap on me. Mom and Baby passed all milestones and went home Wednesday.
I have been working in the plant as we prepare for our new modules to go live but we have run into some stumbling blocks we are now trying to resolve this week.
I have been very tired all week, I cannot wait for the weekend but if some of these issues are not resolved I might have to work, I hope not.
Today when I was done work I went to Costco, originally I went to business center (I love how calm the business center is). I got Cheddar, Mozzarella, Cucumbers, Milk, Peanut Butter, Ciabatta Buns, Greek Yogurt, Nachos, Plain Chips and Pads. Another reason I choose the business center was for the buns because we have sandwich meat to eat.
The Business Centre did not have Heavy Whipping Cream (which I could have waited for) or Cheese Slices (which were on sale an I wanted) so off to regular Costco I went, I got Heavy Whipping Cream, Cheese Slices, Vanilla Yogurt (Business Centre does not carry the one we like), Tofu (I am going to try it, but I am still a little scared), and Probiotics (surprise sale).
I have not looked at all the flyers yet, still need to look at the stores I normally shop at. I don't know why but I always look at the stores I rarely go to first it is weird but it is my system. So will see if I need to run out tomorrow to grab anything.
Happy Thursday Everyone.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

Congrats Sassy on being a new Aunt.
We finished our front porch (painting and trim work ) my older neighbour in her late 70"s said "are you guys thinking of moving" lol .Nope just spending a bit of money to make the front look nice again and the garage floor hubby painted also.Got rid of 26 years of old crap up in our top shelf above the garage ,that felt good.
On friday we watch the girls ,poor Ashlyn has strep throat but son got her on meds on wednesday ,so she is not contagious.
My dear son picked up an overtime shift to pay for all the things he is doing with his wife on sunday they went as a family for picnic.

TGIF!!
Bit of a slow start for me. Just made my coffee so hopefully this will kick me into gear.
Ended up having dinner out last night so tonight's dinner is the leftovers from Wednesday night. I put the cooked ground beef leftovers in the freezer (will be great when I need a quick dinner and feel like a burger bowl!) There is a box of burger patties in the freezer for the others on this lazy night!
Need a walk today so will go out later today and stop at the lake for a walk before going to the bank. It's looking cloudy out but the rain isn't suppose to start till the wee hours of the morning.
Ok I better get rolling! Have a wonderful day and weekend!
