healthy choice pineapple chicken
a Lazy Susan dinner!
I brought different bits of cooked things out of the fridge, spun my plate filling as I went.
The end result was 1 cooked beet, 1\2 sweet potato, 2 ounces pork loin roast, a gai lan/cabbage/onion/garlic/broccoli stir fry, and hummus and crackers.
Almost dozed off after that.
I made homemade burgers with coleslaw and sliced cucumbers. Lots of leftovers for tomorrow. Yipppeeee! Teenagers will appreciate lunch ready in the fridge!
Pork burgers done in the oven, with oven roasted skinny wedges. Raw carrots to munch for me.
GF lasagna is baking right now.
Chicken soup is on the boil right now - right heavenly smelling in the house, yum!
Hot and juicy homemade burgers with the new Rustica buns by POM and all the trimmings (tomato, lettuce, bacon, red onion slices and sliced dill pickle, also mustard and relish)!
Tonight I am attending a retirement party for a teacher that I have worked with. They are providing pulled beef buns. Salad and sweets are the potluck portion. I currently have apple sauce muffins in the oven with skinny chunky monkey cookies (first time making this). Next I am making my cocoa fudge brownies that I will bring to tonight's supper.
Dh and LO are staying home, dh will figure out what they are eating.
having a beach fire later and boiling some crab legs, probably make smores..
After our trip to Ottawa we went to Costco, was going to buy my usual chicken thighs, but all they had was boneless/skinless. OK, bought those, and used some tonight with homemade teriyaki sauce. Was good, but I found that the boneless ones just seem smaller. I think next purchase I'll be back to the ones with bones and skin.
Having bacon, eggs and sausage. Breakfast food for supper tonight. Just felt like something different that didn't involve turning the oven on.
A grilled veggie burger on a sesame bun, samosa, and lemon lime soda. All courtesy of East Side Pride (which is part of the World Pride celebrations in T.O.) and I almost forgot a small Kernels popcorn baggie.
definitely a BBQ kind of day...going to do some shiskabobs...pork, chicken & beef, sweet onion, red onion, mushrooms, little tomatoes, peppers, pineapple..full meal on a stick! (and I've learned a great new trick to add a strip of tinfoil under the ends of the wood skewers so that they don't burn or i.e CATCH FIRE, which has happened occasionally when I wasn't looking :-) )
It's Friday woohoo! Will be firing up the grill and cooking meat and whatever else we decide. Also making a big batch of taco meat since the kids have been asking for tacos.
