Ristorante salmon pizza - wow, it's yummers! Has lots of salmon, spinach and some oozy, creamy cheese (after coupon, 98 cents!). Plus I made a phyllo pie - filling was creamed cottage cheese, egg, dill. It was yummy, but I didn't put enough phyllo on the bottom for the base.

I did boneless chicken thighs with a small strip of mozzarella cheese and a spoonful of salsa inside. I thought it was tasty, but DS HATED it. Weird how an eight year old can like salsa, like cheese, like chicken, even likes them all together at times like when I make enchiladas. But on its own, no way.

I made sweet and sour meatballs with rice. Haven't made that in about 2 months. We have lots of goodies that I baked yesterday morning, so we can have that later in the evening.

Tonight was supposed to be a BBQ engagement party for our friends who are getting married in July, but it has been pouring rain all day. We are now going to Eddie's instead. It is an expensive restaurant in town, good to see friends but we don't usually eat there.

Leftover broccoli salad. We went tidal bore rafting earlier and a bbq is provided after, so we ate a fair bit there. The rafting is SO fun, although it took a bit of effort to remove the mud from DS's ears. Mud sliding is part of the experience.

Late yesterday afternoon, both kids phoned one after the other to say they were all coming down for a swim and they would be staying for dinner!!!!!!! We ended up being 10 for dinner. I had made a potato salad for hubby and me during the day so i figured i would use that plus last week i bought a pile of medium lean minced meat and made that up into burgers. So i dug out the homemade burgers and some BBQ weiners on the BBQ and i went to the french fry place and picked up 2 family packs of fries. Thank goodness for freezers!
Also during the day, i made an angel food cake. So that was dessert. Cake topped with freshly picked strawberries, vanilla ice cream and lots of whipped cream! YUMMY!

BBQ burgers, grilled veggies and crash potatoes also done on the BBQ. Too hot to cook indoors today!

In the oven and smelling awesome - pork steaks, slowcooking in gravy and onion soup mix, with some minced celery thrown in; potatoes and mushrooms in oven as well, serving with coleslaw.
Rant: sent husband to butcher for 10 lbs ground pork and he came home with 10 lbs pork steak. Gah... ground pork is so much more versatile!
