We had toasted bacon, tomato, and cheese sandwiches.

I just finished having the "leftover bacon" i.e. the bacon that could have been my second sandwich. I turned it into an apple, bacon, dried cranberry, and marble cheese salad with a smokey salad dressing that I made. I don't eat it very often, but it was yummy. Now I am hoping that my stomach settles because this baby (10.5wks pregnant) isn't sure that s/he likes it.

DH cooked up some Ziggy's fresh ravioli pasta with four cheese white sauce and baby peas to take for work tonight since I was immersed in Breaking Bad when he got in from work. He may be on his own for cooking until I finish watching all 7 Seasons!!

I made a delicious stewy thing at 4:30 a.m. Did it all in my big old roastpan. Seared about 7-8 lbs of pieces of blade steak both sides on the stove top, tossed in 8 large chopped onions, some of my dehydrated baby carrots and Portabella mushrooms, s & p, splash of raspberry vinaigrette dressing and into the 365 degree oven for a while.
So dehydrated veggies work well in a stew? I never thought of using them like that, might have to look for a dehydrator.

For us tonight, I recently did some cooking for the freezer. We had to eat quickly once DS got home since there was an event at his school, so I took out some sloppy joes last night that are already fully cooked, picked up some fries from the Sobeys deli. Sure enough, he ate that quickly and we were able to get out in time. He loves sloppy joes, there's enough for him to have for lunch tomorrow too.

Tomorrow night we might get some snow, I think I will take advantage of one of the Superbowl sales the grocery stores are having on wings and such (with bonus Air Miles at Sobeys!). I need to go buy transit passes anyhow.

Don't know how often you get to Gateway, but they had some posted on their facebook page for 2.97. They also had a slightly larger box for 4.97.

Will make beef stew for dinner tonight. And a crusty bread. It is snowing outside and supposed to turn extremely cold this evening, so some comfort food is in order.
