Making homemade salsa with diced red and yellow tomatoes, chopped green onion, fresh oregano, olive oil, tiny bit of red wine vinegar, salt and pepper over grilled flank steak.
Tonight is everyone have what you want, I'm going to have a ham on rye sandwich with slices of cucumber and tomatoes. Chocolate eclairs for dessert.
I got one and we love it. The biggest thing you need to remember is that is a pressure a cooker and depending on you are cooking natural release can take some time to release. For me the huge benefit is I can out something in walk away not worry about being on the stove. Sides still take some time just like a slower cooker but meats are amazing I make Chicken Teriyaki in 15 minutes.
I also love all of the extra features it is a pressure cooker, slower cooker, yogurt maker. As well it has a simmer function so if you are making something that needs to be thicken you can cook press simmer and thicken right now in the instant pot no need to dirty another pot.
Mom has to work tonight so we did Dinner for Lunch, we had Meatloaf and Mashed potato bake. Starting to get a little hungry so will have a light snack before it gets too late.
Hamburgers and salads.. blueberry shortcake for desert.
Making a pot of corn chowder for tonight.
Mom is doing pork tenderloin with apples and leeks served with french bread and double chocolate fudge cake for dessert. Can't wait!:P
Decided to do a Sunday Dinner, Roast Beef, Mashed Potatoes with gravy and Green Beans and Asparagus
Had the gang over for dinner last night. So i dug out 2 large homemade Chicken Pot Pies, added a Cesar Salad and raw vegies with an easy dip (sour cream and ketchup, mixed to taste). For desert we had the remainder of the Rhubarb and Strawberry crisp i made the other day and a carrot cake i found in the freezer and topped with vanilla or chocolate or rolo ice cream.
Tonight dinner will be ham, lettuce and cheese on Kaiser buns and the rest of the vegies and dip.
Beef braising ribs in the slow cooker with carrots and mashed potatoes.
fried trout with rice and salad.
Hamburgers and chicken on the BBQ. :)
Lettuce wraps with shrimp, chopped asparagus, red bell pepper, onion, minced fresh ginger, garlic, salt, pepper and a tiny bit of sesame oil.
On my own for dinner tonight so hoping to use up some leftovers in the fridge. I know we have some rice to use up so thinking maybe a fried rice of some sorts or I found a pot roast stew in the freezer I could put over the rice. Will see how I feel once I get home a lot of chopping for fried rice or pop in the oven and get some other things done well it cooks.
