    We decided to go up north today to see if we can bear the humidity. Will make due with what is already up there for meals and we have to be back Saturday at the latest as my brothers celebration of life is on Sunday

    Surprised I lasted until 5 p.m. today with zero hunger pangs, getting by solely on a large Moka Pot Espresso that I brewed up ( adding cream of course ) followed by 2 bottles of water.
    I think finishing the book I was reading took precedence over my tummy....ha ha

    Then just after 5 p.m. I had a decent sized bowl of my fav. spag. squash mixed with browned x-lean gr. beef, herbs and no-tomato-pasta-sauce. Also ate a cold leftover grilled chunk of skls/bnls turkey breast. Another Java, this time a Tassimo and 2 no sugar added Jello cups.

    I'll be watching the Jays try to win Game 2 soon.....they almost tied it last night, but the 3 big bats up in the 9th fell.

    ..still have the fam jam visiting so this evening will be my famous fish fry on the deck...its not very warm here but we'll have to make do..I'll do beer battered fresh cod, shrimp, onion rings, fries, etc..and maybe calamari if I can get my hands on some squid by this evening. Its going to be sooo goood

    I cooked up 2 things early this morning for the gang. Chicken Adobo! ( from a secret family recipe! Filipino fellow at DH work, he begged his wife for her recipe...ha ha ) , it turned out so darn tasty! ( rats to me not being able to have that though) but I can have as much of the blade roast I pressure cooked up.
    Sides are up to them! We have enough quickie options.....pouches of Uncle Bens Bistro Express for the Adobo and coleslaw for the roast.

    Yesterday's test batter It was awesome, no adjustments needed!! I was so busy cooking I didn't get a chance to take pics of the fish LOL. My fish was so good one of the couples visiting from ONT got ENGAGED!!!! lol They went to take pics of the sunset and came back a 1/2 hr later with a rock on her finger..it was an eventful evening to say the least !!

    Last night I went out to dinner with a group from work after our day of training/meetings. Had a burger it was good but pricey not sure I would return food was good but did not justify the cost.

    Tonight we made Club House Sandwiches with 2 different Potato Salads on the side, our normal Dill Pickle Potato Salad and a Loaded Baked Potato Salad.

    The Loaded Baked Potato Salad needs some work came out a little dry and could use a bit more seasoning was a bit bland

    it's my birthday month so we've been going to restaurants that i get free offers
    - Joey's fish and chips: i got free entree and free ice cream dessert
    - Red Robin's: i got free gourmet burger, they messed up my hubby's burger so the manager took off our drinks from the bill
    - Pasta Pantry: got a coupon buy a large pasta and drink and get the 2nd of equal of lesser pasta for free
