Santa brought us a Panini press for Christmas ( I'm pretty sure he lucked into a WM black Friday deal ) , so today I had my first crusty sammy with it.
I sliced 2 pieces off a Ciabatta loaf ( diagonal of course ) and buttered the outsides, placed slices of ham ( from a ham roast ) and Swiss cheese inside and grilled it crispy. With a mug of coffee that was so delicious!
Oops! This was my lunch....no matter, I'll call it an early dinner.

Mom surprised me and has ordered Chinese for dinner tonight, so no cooking for us although I am having a cooking day for future meals.

I have not added chicken to this salad. My fav. flavour is sweet orange; it reminded me of Wendy's mandarine salad bowl.
Hubby is working evening, so just me and my toddlers. I'm going to have fried fish and bamboo shoots, made by my mom and delivered by my dad. I just need to make some rice.

To end this horrid year and hopefully start the new one we are going to have a charcuterie and cheese board and pairing it with ice cold cans of Stella!
Happy NY to all!

Cheers @GoodBoy ! Coors light here!
We're having M&M spring rolls and my Mom's homemade tourtiere tarts this evening. We have salad on hand but there's something about "cheating a little" the night before the resolutions kick in30 295.60 52.80

Hubby and i had a Fondu with beef and chicken, mushrooms, prepared baby potatoes, peppers, broccoli, fondu dipping sauce, Cheddar cheese, Brie and sliced baguette. I also made bacon/weiners and deviled eggs. Dessert was cut up mixed fruit.
