2 big football games this evening, starting at 4:30pm here, there's leftover peas soup from yesterday which was really good, I'm making my own chicken balls & trying bacon wrapped chicken bites in the air fryer...will make some fried rice, and will cook spring rolls, mozza fingers & calamari and there will be drinks!

Round two of a roast beef dinner.
Last night just DH and I enjoyed the meal, the roast with gravy along with baked spuds, carrots, green beans and beets.
Does anyone agree that the flavours of leftovers seem better than the first meal? DS will join us tonight.
FYI....Metro has this roast deal on all week!
The line under the cost of the roast @19.59 on my receipt said " Savings $24.53 " GULP!
Was I to believe that the original cost of this hunk of meat was $44.12 ?
My entire order was paid using Air Miles....( $90.00 worth ) and the OOP was a laughable .84

I currently have a pork loin in the oven and baby potatoes; they are "bathing" in a garlic, rosemary, butter, salt&pepper sauce. Will make a small side salad for me as hubby and our daughters do not like salad.

I just cooked up a cheesy cauliflower soup-and there are also roast beef, gravy and veggie leftovers from last night. It is really cold here so I am sure DH will enjoy a hot meal once he gets home.

Last night's yummo meal was ( again ) one of those Butterball frozen footballs, Stove Top stuffing, russets mashed and buttered and pork'n beans. Kept to one glass of white wine, splashed a little Sangria in it near the end ( never tried Sangria before, the jug was a Christmas gift from one of our DD's friends ).
It is carbonated and sweet-ish...not bad.
