I am super beat! Today was a pierogi making afternoon for me. Made one at a time because I like the metal press that leaves the pleated edge on them. They are in the freezer, getting frozen separately and later I'll bag them up.
I did enjoy boiling up 5 of them, then pan frying them in butter and topped with sour cream. Mmmm.

Empanadas on the left, perogies on the right. I have to insert the baking, boiling instructions in the bags otherwise DH and DS may claim that because they look the same they baked the perogies and boiled the empanadas!

I just made black bean soup-now I am going to make a peach pie. That might be lunch and dinner whenever people are ready. Both are requests from DD-I think that covers most of the important food groups!

two slabs of pork ribs are done crispy/dry ( as in no sauce as requested by the guys ).
but coated nicely with coarse ground black pepper, a " titch " of salt and a couple small turns from the lemon pepper bottle.

Then much much later we may dig into a New York Baked Cheesecake ( have not made that kind in a while ).
Used my spring-form pan....graham cracker base of course. The topping came from a can of pitted Bing cherries in juice.
Strained out the cherries, added some extra water to it, very little sugar, then thickened it and returned the cherries to it. In the fridge that went.
I JUST took the cake out of the oven! It needs to seriously cool down, then chill in the fridge a long time before I can lay the cherry sauce over it.
They recommended chilling overnight....but who are we kidding? Photos maybe later if I remember.

This is the week I finally get back on track, August was not my month but September is upon us, it is a new month and time to get back on track.

Tonight I am making one of our fav Lasagna Zucchini Rolls up but it is too hot to use the oven so I am using my Slow Cooker. I will make a Caesar Salad on the side and maybe a garlic bun on the side, we will see.

Saturday afternoon I made Chicken Tetrazini. Youngest DS's fav. He had that for late night dinner Sat and last night. I also baked a few BLSL chicken breasts for Chicken ceaser wraps.
Whatever is left I will slice up and put in the freezer tonight. I am tired of chicken!
Tonight- Not sure yet what my plan is.

..have chicken breast thawing so trying to decide between chicken fajitas or cordon bleu...the less amount of work will probably win

Ground beef is on sale this week at IGA in QC. So i picked up an Econo Pak Saturday and today a made a Pate Chinois (shepherds Pie) this morning. Hubby wont eat Pate Chinois because his mother used to make it once a week and he is sick of it. So i made a batch for myself; will have some for dinner tonight and the rest i will freeze in batches for another time.

Trying a new recipe tonight I am making Slow Cooker Chicken & Mushrooms. Hoping for good things with this recipe as it is a one pot meal, it has Chicken & Mushrooms and at the end you add Orzo.

I read in the comments some found it bland and recommended doubling the spices which I did and someone else mentioned adding peas when you add the Orzo so I will do that as well.
