i think i'm going to bake some chicken to go with my salad. i got a little carried away with chopping up stuff and the salad is now WAY bigger than the main course. way more than we'll be able to eat!

Went to the pub to watch the soccer game so I had Giant Yorkshire pudding stuffed with roast beef and gravy with a side of mash potatoes and veggies, and a big banana daiquiri on the side.

Well, this is what I made for dinner:
My attempt at a Chicago Deep Dish Pizza.
If you have ever been to Chicago and had an authentic one (my favourite is at Pizzeria Uno!), you know why they are famous for them
My pizza has a homemade crust which I made from scratch with a bolognese sauce top with buffalo mozzarella then a layer of pepperoni, a layer of crumbled italian sausage, a mixture of cooked fresh spinach, garlic and fresh mushrooms, diced tomatoes, basil, oregano, olive oil and parmesan, topped with a mixture of romano, provolone and monterrey jack cheeses.
I baked this in a cast iron skillet and hubby wants to know who is coming for dinner!?
Off to slice the sucker up! Bon appetit!
