Made up another batch of the roasted red pepper soup tonight. Since I could not squeeze this mega sized pkg of mild Italian sausages in the freezer ( no room! ) I made up a roast pan of one of DH and DS favourites......sausage & potato bake.

    Burgers, macaroni salad, celery sticks.

Burgers were from GT, Belmont brand sirloin. Not great. Would not buy again, will go back to Sobeys Sensations burgers - on sale this week.

I was tending bar at a volunteer gig and had a quick bowl of leftover beef stew before I left for the evening. It was early though and now I’m home and starving but I can’t have anything beacause I have fasting blood work tomorrow 🙃

ever heard of those places at the mall called Build A Bear?
Well my sis and I built our own very large salads last night for dinner!

Tossed many items together, certainly made a difference that both clam shell containers of baby spinach and spring mix were super fresh! Also used some of a bagged garden salad, chopped in some red peppers, shredded carrot, baby cucumbers, mushrooms, and multi coloured heirloom tomatoes.
A splash of dressing and we were good to go!

Went out for dinner last night with my sister and BIL in Buenos Aries-we were able to walk and get through the tight security for the G20-they live in one of the lower security areas but the motorcades, helicopters, barricades etc are constant. We ate at their favourite restaurant down by the docks-many fancy choices but I went pretty plain-chicken and potatoes as I didn't want something too exotic. Lovely food and the prices for a fancy dinner are probably less than half of the price in Canada.

I just came here to post! Great minds think alike @Thatdone
I have not made my guys meatloaf in ages and this afternoon I made up plenty! ( a small roast pan and 2 bread loaf pans ) why oh why did it have to smell and taste so darn good?! It is obviously not on Dr. Poon's list of allowable foods....lol.
Made up a huge pot of mashed and boiled up fresh beets for DH...kids won't touch those with a 10 foot pole.....

Last night I made Beef Stir Fry with Carrots, Celery, Broccoli, Peppers over Rice

Tonight I am thinking Spinach and Ricotta Manicotti, I feel like we have been eating a fair amount of pasta lately but it is the weekend and I want to make something I wouldn't make during the week

Change in plans for tonight, I decided to go grocery shopping so now we are having Meatballs in Mushroom Gravy over Mashed Potatoes. Meatballs are homemade from the freezer and will make extra Mashed Potatoes for use later in the week.
