oh question for anyone here that wears contacts...how long would it take me to get them if i was getting them for the first time and have to have the fitting appt and all that junk???
im wondering if i can get them in time for grease shows end of next month otherwise i am going to be on stage blind because im not allowed to wear my glasses and have really bad eyes LOL
im guessing probably not but would really like to get them before summer at least since i hate hate hate glasses even though i just got these ones LOL but i got my income tax refund so hoping that will cover the cost to get contacts in a few months that was my plan for the money anyway but i didnt expect to get that much back so was putting off getting them till i got a job but then they adjusted my refund or something like that and i ended up getting way more then we figured out

i dont have an exam or anything set up though yet my dad goes in on may 12th so i am just going to go in with him when he gets his eyes tested and ask about getting an appt to get contacts and see how much it will cost me LOL and grease is like a week after that so i doubt i will get an appt and stuff by then...
i just had an eye exam in feb when i got my glasses so idk if i need another exam to get a perscription for contacts or if they can just figure that out from my glasses perscription?
i want to get the ones that last for a year i think but my eyes each have a different perscription so idk how much that will end up costing me LOL am hoping not too much am also wondering if its cheaper to get them at the doctors office or some place like walmart?

there is one for acuvue but it doesnt list our eye doctors place
im just trying to figure out how expensive its going to be i just found some place online trying to tell me its going to be over $200 for my perscription i hope they are wrong cause i freaking want contacts LOL but not if they cost me that much thats more then the lenses in my new glasses cause they were about $180 (have to get them thinned out big time cause my eyes are so bad)

when you had contacts how long could you wear them for before you had to buy new ones? im trying to read up on it cause i know like nothing about contacts i found you can get ones that last up to a year but that most doctors wont recommend them
so idk if it would work out cheaper to get ones you throw out every month or getting the ones that last up to a year...also i have to get two different boxes i think because my eyes are different strengths so idk how expensive this is going to end up being
i also have my final driving test coming up this summer and it would be nice to have contacts and be used to them by then so that i have better periphial (sp) vision cause the new glasses i got have the big arms on the side that you cant see past LOL and its the 401 driving test which scares me LOL

oh im just trying to find the cheapest route at the moment idk if yearly or monthly will be cheaper guess i have to wait and find out from the eye doc but if i get contacts i plan to wear them every day pretty much except when you are supposed to give your eyes a break or whatever
i so need the consultation LOL i seriously have no clue im just more thinking about cost to get contacts vs glasses at the moment cause i dont want to pay tons more then i would for glasses every few years or whenever especially when im the one that has to buy them cause my parents just roll their eyes and tell me not to waste the time/money on them

ya im looking around i have that bookmarked also going to check out walmarts prices vs eye doctors too since i assume it will cost me more at the eye doctors
still need to have them figure out my perscription though and the whole fitting thing since i havent had contacts before then once i have that i should be good to get them wherever they are going to be cheaper for me
