This is the crochet hook case I wanted to make [a pattern from ravelry.com]
Here's how mine turned out......

Ya I went against the grain on this one but that's what makes crafting fun
The pocket was sewn crooked because my dad took a windy road yesterday and was speeding so ya.. =(
I added a ruffled edge to the top of the pocket because.. well.. it looked cute ^_^

Decided to make a tissue box cover for my new SIL [brother got married march 8] Melissa.. she loves Hello Kitty.
I used 2 ; 7 count plastic canvas' cut 4 sides panels and a top.
I started march 20 but this thing went thru 10 redo's.. ugh
It's my first plastic canvas project since i was 8 so lol.. This is all my own free hand stitching [and drew it all on a graph paper than scaled it down and played around until I got the shape I wanted].
top

this was the only tissue box at dollarama which inspired the making of this cover..lol

and on it goes all pretty... .. after pushing and cursing that is
I made a hello kitty with glasses and originally had words on each other panel but it didn't look right so I re did it with a nerdy male hello kitty to represent my brother and the girl to be my sil... I got mushy and free handed 2 hearts and fiiiinally got it all whip stitched together [double].. ..... onyl to find out it's a touch too small.. ................. oh well I'm not doing it again! lol I wrote ti down as a note to myself though for next time.
EDIT: I didn't like the way the boy kitty's hair saw so I just fixed it lol.. looks a little more like a nerdy boy now.. .. sorta =/

Aha! Plastic canvas talent in our members!
I made this ( amongst other child related things) for my DD to keep her little Beatrix Potter books in when she was little. The back end of the bus has a removable lid on top and she used to store her clip on earring's ( costume jewelery that was gawdy and given to her by an old Auntie) Bangles, necklaces, she thought she was a Queen!!
Sorry for the blurry pic, old shaky hands!

Last week I was busy helping my SIL move from her parents house next door to their new house. She was putting crafts into boxes and having me move it downstairs to the kitchen and then down int the basement [I was their most of last week.. I was so tired one day but i kept pushing myself to move my fat butt back up the stairs and carry more boxes down lol!.. bad thing I got so rundown I caught a cold and it progressed to a sinus cold blaaaaah it's not as bad but ya... I'm still rundown but not enough to stop from taking up this challenge
]
I noticed she was throwing 2 make it yourself sock animal kits she asked her mother to sew together way bakc in december for her kids.. [a kitty and a monkey lol so cute]. She said her mother wasnt going to do it so she was going to worry about it "later".. I thought... "uh huh.. baby number 3 is finally on the way by august and you have a 4 and 6 year od that run around.. when are you going to do it? Plus you hate sewing" ahem.. lol I said I'd do it. She was shocked but happy.. I cut all the pieces out for both animals back on saturday and started making the kitty 2 days ago.. go at it for a few hours at a time...
It's not perfect but what ever is!

my SIL had the idea to use these little napsacks for something with the animals.. I put the little mouse inside.. lmao I dunno why I found it funny.

My complaints on this kit are as follows...
The sewing needle they give you is too big for the felt and embroidery work... you can ee the holes and sometimes it tears =(
I ran out of floss they wanted you to use all 6 strands for embroidering.... thank god i have a case of floss =)
But it was fun none the less.
[minus sewing and stuffing that damn tail! I was going to scream it was so damn irritating]
Happy crafting y'all!♥

Decided to make my "soon to be" born [ya in mid august
] nephew a blanket.. but question was of what.. hmmm.. well I put that idea on that back burner and thought of my niece and nephew.. they needed something as well so they still feel loved blah blah blah.. My nephew I'm currently working out the kinks on his blanket idea [probably a super mario granny square blanket]. But my niece I poked around and found an 8-bit tinkerbell that looked okay but i modified it and switched things around a bit. Looks a little ghetto but you get the idea. Wooooo granny square blankets lmao

If all my figures are correct it'll be 28 squares heigh by 26 wide.
And consist of... 385 background squares, 104 border, 65 wing + 1 eye, 2 eye, 24 green, 30 yellow, 1 brown, 31 skin, and 85 black squares...
The sizes of them are still up on the air.. gonna talk to my mum tonight.. lol.. I explained my idea to her and she started getting all excited haha

You are all so amazing! The time you put into each project is mind blowing! Well, I have a few new projects to add....I made all the cuff bracelets with polymer clay.

Donna I love the pendant!!!! Did you post a link to your etsy shop? I guess the mail strike will not be good for anyone with an online store.
