about cheese pre shredded in bags, yes it's a type of cellulose that they add, but despite this we found often the shreds have stuck up against the sides of the bag?
We thought that " maybe " the bags get frozen in transit and then when it thaws, the moisture makes it susceptible to sticking and clumping. None ever goes to waste though, we just scrape it off the sides of the bag and use it. Now with this bag of my homemade blend trust me it will not even last till the end of this week, our DS is a cheese freak!
I'll just make1 more each time so it shouldn't get a chance to clump.

truly appreciated your response about the PC/OPT cards and the way the points are earned. My friend is just really ticked off more than anything that her favourite SD OPT programme has changed.

I'm sure Costco works for some people, but for the things I buy, I still haven't seen enough deals to think I would easily save enough to cover the membership fee. If that were so, I'd sign up in an...

Local honey tastes different because it is single-source while grocery store honey, unless it says otherwise, is blended to taste similar all the time.

I'd be very interested to know what is better priced at Costco, esp. groceries. When I compare prices there to what I typically pay, I don't see many things at all.

That's great for you. For me, we don't use propane. As for gas, when I compare net prices by factoring in the discounts, cashback and loyalty points I get, there is little if any difference per...

This is part of the double-counting "trap". After points are counted as money back when they are earned, they revert to points when redeemed. And when paying with "just points", it seems less...

It's not a secret in marketing circles that a segment of consumers double-counts loyalty points. So in this example, they tell themselves they got 50 cents back so only paid $1.99, but when they...

A cautionary note about homemade mayo. Using unpasteurized eggs risks ingesting any bacteria they might carry. The risk is small but non-zero. Eggs can be home-pasteurized quite easily using a...
