anything like shake and bake u can use, noname or whatever. we don't have mccormacks here i don't think. you can also just add your favorite herbs and seasonings to the shake and bake, be like kfc on drugs

Nothing too painful, just a bit of a bruise. I opened my closet this morning to get some clothes & the bracket holding up the shelving snapped. The iron - still in its box, since I'm too lazy to iron & smart enough to buy wash & wear clothes - fell & hit me smack on the hip. I lay on the floor for 10 minutes, with the dog putting her head right on the tender spot. Her body heat made it feel much better. & my parents (in their 70s, but have the energy of teenagers!) showed up a few minutes later (they were early) & let me rest on the couch while they took the clothes out of the closet & removed the broken bracket. I'm fine now, but will be sore tomorrow I'm sure. Could have been worse. Thank goodness it didn't snap when the dog was opening the door!

Really the only thing that was injured was my dignity!

Thanks for your thoughts and prayers Star, we live in a small town about 20 miles from Birmingham which is where I'm looking for work. I've looked daily on Monster, hospitals & several other websites. Seems if you have an accounting background (which I don't) a job would be easier to find. I am fairly good at Excel & Word & of course can type. The recruiters around here are saying it may take as long as 6 months to find a decent job. Thank goodness we had a little money stashed away and can fall back on that if we have to. John is only getting to work about 3 days a week, but he has been fortunate to find some tree work so he has picked up some extra money between that & selling firewood.

I wish you could wave your wand for the folks on here, seems a lot of folks have problems here. Take care, hope you feel better soon.
