Hope you have a great start to your week!
Gee, the weekend flew by fast. Our son came over last night, we had an awesome supper, great visit - and I sent him home with lots of goodies, so he was one happy man - and so very sweet!

{{{{yawn}}}}} Good morning! Well, we went from no snow here yesterday, to snow on the ground this morning....grrrrr. On the upside, today is our grandson's Christmas concert....grandparents will be attending the afternoon performance and our DD and hubby will attend the evening one.....he was practicing his song at the dinner table here one day...it was so cute; he sang it for us but SO quietly we could hardly hear him...lol... I have to remember to pack up canned goods for the donation...
So, busy day here, concert then grocery shopping...."like a date!" As my hubby would say. It's going to be a little scary out there, walking in the snow but he attached a spike thing onto my cane so maybe it'll help...OMG if I fall again I'm done!!
Have a lovely day, everyone!

Hi, everyone....SHEESH! I just made 2 chicken pot pies and nearly fainted in the kitchen! My stamina is shot to heck and I'm not sure how to get it back...speaking of which, my back is the problem now, even though I can walk around the kitchen like a baby learning to walk for the first time (without the falling, thank goodness!) without my leg getting too sore.
What a mess I am, now.....although I just heard my DD's voice in my head saying, "Now??!", lol.....
Take care out there, everyone and have a lovely day!

Hi folks! Hang in there Lynn!
If you look up "Take it EASY" in the encyclopedia- there's a picture of YOU there!
Hovering around freezing here and cloudy- wish it would either snow or get up to 80 degrees!
Most of our neighbours have fled for warmer climbs. I feel like the "caretaker" of our little street. There are muskrat still stirring. I actually saw one sitting on an ice shelf getting itself a drink the other day. The bunnies are flashing by when I walk the dogs. Crows make our town their home in the winter. The geese finally started flying SOUTH instead of circling around here. Squirrels try to raid our bird feeder and we have a Blue Jay and Cardinal nearby. So lots happening to entertain us!

Good morning all.
First day of my vacation. So looking forward to doing nothing today- I say that but by 10am I will most likely get bored. Have a great day everyone.

DH is trying to "take it easy" - he doesn't like taking pain meds. He's been snoozing on and off during the day. I managed to run some toys and prezzies that I had previously bought but never given to my nephews and now they are too old to appreciate as well as a few "older kid" gifts over to the Salvation Army today. I was assured they would get to kids this Christmas. I went to M&Ms to get a couple of things that were in their flyer and the line ran all the way around the store and almost back to the door. They were putting people through like an assembly line.
I've been trying to bring things up from the boxes in the basement to finish the Christmas decorating. I have a set of wooden blocks that spell out "Merry Christmas" - At one point all I could find spelled out "erry Chrim"-LOL But I finally found the rest.
We're watching a lovely "Merry Christmas" movie called "The Guns of Navarone" - a classic - but not for the yuletide.
