anyone care that the Blue Jays played their way to a game on Tuesday AT the Rogers Centre!! ( against the Baltimore Orioles ) A do or Die game. Oh please let it be a win so we can then play Texas and kick the snot outa Rougned Odor....ha ha !!

^^ it has become a full infection now. I've been watching other games just to see how their wins/losses were affecting our Jays standings.....there is no cure really. Even trying to get myself distracted by watching the Leafs beat Montreal tonight had very little effect.
Time for bed soon, thank goodness. I'll probably dream about the game anyway.....hee hee

I am very excited that the Blue Jays have gotten to where they are without any of us having heart issues!

We managed to fritter the day away. Did get the laundry done and the bed changed to cotton sheets.
I like microfiber in the summer but when it turns cool, I can't get warm with them.

I managed to get out our "Thanksgiving - themed " knick-knacks. Makes me get to the point where I can accept that it's October. I almost wrote "August" as the date the other day.- At least I had the year right- 1999 - and, boy, did I feel like parting for some reason!
I tortured some chicken legs into a semi-acceptable supper as DH had them prepped for the BBQ, and then didn't feel well and went to bed. I am CERTAINLY NOT going to take on barbecuing! I am not going to tell you what I did. But it tasted pretty good.
Watching the pre-recorded season beginning of Madame Secretary. See you tomorrow.

Lynn, I was also looking at a loveseat sized futon but the bean bag went way down to $148. With my luck though the price will shoot right back up before I can buy it Thurs lol.

I wanted to do the lawn, and some of my winter gardening prep, but I guess that'll have to wait for nicer weather.
@cabmonk - I hope you feel better soon, and @Lynn49 is right, you should check out the bean bag chairs. Really bad for your back and neck, so it might aggravate your shoulder too. Just try one out B4 you shell out the bucks. Besides, personally, I can't even get up out of them.
@avoncallingu - I'm with you. I'd never BBQ'd until I moved here. It was always my DH & DS's jobs. I've done it since, but I can't BBQ worth a dam*. LOL
@walkonby - wouldn't it be nice to kick some Texas a$$.

OMGoodness, Hicks!!! That's great that you have a ticket!!!
WHAT a game to witness...wow...everyone will be nervous wrecks and screaming with ever pitch and swing.
Let's hope our pitchers are up to their standards and our batters can actually connect with a ball!!

Busy days here before Thanksgiving day; I have bread on the 'dough' cycle in my breadmachine so when it beeps I'll toss in a cup or so of craisins to make it pretty with the honey-butter I'm making. I'll do the cabbage rolls on Friday, we'll do the dressing on Saturday morning (dinner is on Saturday), I have no idea when I'll make the raspberry layered cheesecake, the kids muffins on Thursday or Friday....appetizers some time!! But really, this is the fun part!!
I want to make a nice centrepiece for our DD's dining table...it's glass and has white leather chairs, so I thought a silver-painted plastic pumpkin with white and orange flowers, but I think I'm running out of time!

I hope everyone else is having a great day, too. It looks dreary and yucky but DH said the sun was probably shining on the golf course , so off he went.

And DO try and behave yourselves today (WALKS..this means you of course!)....!!

They also had a 7 by 10 nice area rug for $44 but there were only 4 available and few mins later all gone. What's crazy, all the other smaller sizes of the same rug are still available but around $600 lol.

Oh I've seen ones at Walmart. Way too big for my small space. The one I am looking at is a loveseat sized. Would fit right in to a space I have ready for it.
