I so agree. My Grandmother, my father & I all share the same b/day, and it's 3 days before Christmas. So, every1 assumes mine is lumped in with the others, and I'd only get one gift to cover Xmas and my b/day, but my parents made sure I had my own party so that wouldn't happen. I so appreciated their efforts.

One of P2's friends has her birthday on 26th December and her parents throw her 2 parties, one on her birthday and one in the summer(gen 26th July as 24 June is St Jean) ..P2 goes to both..

Good morning, everyone!!

I was so looking forward to lunch with a friend today, it's gorgeous outside, but she got called into work. Work just interferes with all kinds of fun!! I imagine. Maybe I'll ask DH to take me out; he'll be fine with that. I just want to get out as much as possible before my surgery, when I'll be more stuck in the house.
@danger_dan , happy birthday to your Granny-in-Law....bless her heart!

I sure hope you all are seeing what I'm seeing outside today: it's perfect!! It's 15, but sunny and beautiful!

Hello folks! Lying in bed pretending that I am not awake. I wanted to sleep in this morning.
We got mixed results from the oncologist yesterday. The CT scan wasn't detailed enough as they had not been able to give DH the contrast. So another one will be done of his liver area specifically. No indication of tumour growth but bloodwork shows that something is happening. DR. suggested that since he has been feeling generally lousy, that he should start chemo again. That will start next Tuesday. The chemo worked very well before so hoping for a similar result.
Rainy, chilly day, - think I will sleep in.

A good, sunny morning to everyone!!

We squeaked by that one last night! Thunder storm, lots of gorgeous rain falling and thank heavens, the temp stayed above 0!! I would have sobbed this morning if there was snow on the ground!!

Easy day, just my every-3-month dental cleaning, then a quick grocery stop. I'm popping a roast into the crock-pot since we'll be out most of the afternoon...yep. Life in the fast lane.

@avoncallingu, what can I say, my dear Friend, that could bring you some comfort this morning? You know my thoughts are never far from you, and my prayers are always with you and your Hubby. The chemo did a bang-up job last time, and I just know it'll do the same once again, and when we drive down for a visit this spring, (in the big city no less!), we'll share lots of hugs, chatter, and...will there be wine?....oh. And ribs? I know your DH bbqs wonderful ribs and we don't, so perhaps, hm??? I'll even bring a passel of them down for him!! 'Sis'....I just love you, and keep you close always.

We have a new routine with Jennifur...since that "incident" that almost happened on my night-table, the next night when I was getting ready for bed, I once-again found her in her bed in our room, so I left her there thinking I'd soon have two little paws on my side of the bed asking to be lifted up. Never happened. (sob) Since then I've cleared out my shoes from my closet, put one of her beds in there with her minky blanket, and while I get ready for bed, she's already curled up in it, and there she sleeps. Until some time at night when I hear the pitter-patter of little feet heading into the computer room where she sleeps in her bed there until morning! When she sees her Daddy get up, she follows him downstairs, he goes outside with her, and then I hear her come up again and I think..." is she back in her bed, or is she sitting there staring at me?" Yep, the latter...two big Doxie eyes, and a twitchy, wobbly tail. I just say, "Okay, Jenny, I'm up...' and she bolts down the stairs again to tell Daddy that Mom's up, too. Finally. Aren't they just the best little partners in the world??!! Avon, I think Jenny and Sadie will get along famously!!

Today is a treatment day for me. I was at the hospital on Tuesday & it was a very long day. The doc repeated the blood work & sent me for an X Ray of my lungs. It seems the left lung still has fluid & it could be what is making me feel a bit uncomfortable. Eating is hard, but I have to talk myself into it.

It would have been my Mom's Birthday today. I can't believe she would have been 97.
