Mine has no intention of going anywhere without backup. My tough guy is a total coward.
One of my neighbours has an escape artist. This silly cat has figured out how to unlatch the balcony door & has gone visiting the neighbours (to terrorize their dog) & has managed to leap down to the bushes (from the 3rd floor) to get to the garden to roll around in the flowers. There are now childproof locks on all windows & doors & the balcony is enclosed in chicken wire

Cute kitties all above, and wow - what an escape for that one!
Years ago, when I was very pregnant, we were living on the second floor of an apartment building - one night I was uncomfortable and hot, so I went in the middle of the night to sleep on the couch in the living room, closer to the air conditioner. Well, something woke me up, and I look up - facing the balcony door and the screen is ripped off to the outside. I got up, looked on the balcony and DOWN in the parking lot staring up looking at me is Chickie, a three year old male cat we had. I woke up my husband who went downstairs to get him - I was SO worried because we were right at the edge of the city, with fields and trees all around, and he could have gotten lost.
But wow, I always wanted to know if it was an accident, or he just really, really wanted to go out, because him and our other cat were always inside cats.
Such silly furballs we have!

It was a little cooler today so decided to open the windows for a change BIG mistake they both kept clawing at the screen and I was running around with the water bottle I asked if they could wait till I was done my second cup of coffee but as rude as they are they just pounced away to another window to claw at. Soon my rental company isn't going to beleive these screen are getting holes majicly by themselves!

Aw, KK7, is that a big treat for them to get canned food? For ours, it would be!
However, Taffy will be over the moon that we are having roasted chicken - and Pepsi doesn't care, he will only eat dry food and occasionally wet. No people food.
