In my opinion Evgeny did not skate his best...his jumps were wobbly while Evan I believe skated perfect. It Will be tough!

well, it sort of depends on which competition, etc.
kurt did the first quad in 1988, world championship, (boitano tried
but couldn't hold onto the landing).
tons of stats about the quad, but from what i saw midori ito,
never did a quad, miki ando, did in 2002, at a junior final.
surya bonaly did have attempts at quads, which were never
completed, (underrotated at the 1992 olympics).
sorry, i can be a bit of an info/trivial nut,,,,,
and you are right it's an oddity mens gold with no quad,,,

Elvis Stojko wasn't the first to land a quad at the Olympics!! You're blowing my mind. I remember Suryna Bonaly's back flip but I think she got in trouble for it. Or maybe she just did it in the exhibition . . . don't know.
ooooh Johny did an Orthodox cross - I saw the cross and thought 'he doesn't really strike me as a devout Catholic'.

Just an addendum to the way he crossed himself - I'm Ukrainian Catholic (Byzantine Rite) and we cross ourselves the same way, from the right to the left, three times. Roman Catholics do it from left to right shoulder.
Yup, he was amazing!
Totally agree, his performance was wonderful! Patrick did really well for his first Olympics, he has a great career ahead of him. Plus, in interviews, he's a real sweetie!
