well it wouldnt have been so bad if it was maybe just dying it cause then I would just do the stuff that washed out, but no way my thick frizzy hair could be cut short or anything i would have a fro big time and wouldnt be able to tame it...im just depressed that i didnt get a good part when i was soooo excited about it

It may not be exactly what you wanted, but ... it is a foot in the door, and I have found over the years (no I won't say how many! lol) that it has been the smallest, most insignificant things (at least that was what I thought of them) that lead to the better and more promising things! Im happy for you!

*sigh* I soooo screwed myself over I hate myself at the moment
before I auditioned I had to fill something out and one of the questions was would you be willing to change your hair style/colour for a role and I said no cause I was afraid of having to cut my hair short or dye it blonde and well I think it came back to bite me in the a$$ cause I didnt get a part instead I am part of the chorus so I'm pretty ticked at myself at the moment
the chorus includes some of the pink ladies though so I wonder if I get to be a pink lady or just kind of like an extra cause if i get to be a pink lady it wouldn't be all that bad cause thats what I ultimately wanted to be but if I just get stuck in random scenes as random people I may be more than a little bummed out
but I'm pretty positive that was what messed this up for me cause what character has long shaggy brown/reddish hair umm last I checked none *sigh* I'm an idiot

You're not an idiot, rose. Don't do anything you don't want to do. If a part isn't flexible enough to allow hair to be the way it already is, then is it really worth it? Stick by your guns, and don't kick yourself. At least you have a part?!?

Went to the family shing-ding today ... what an ordeal!! It was fine and everything, but on the way home, there was so much snow on the ground, and dh was driving like a lunatic!! Several times I yelled at him to slow down. I don't often do that, but I think he just wanted to get home after a long day out. And then, he got overheated and opened a window. Well, I had to say something about that, too cause of the little guy ... I don't want him getting cold. So, he closed the window, and turned on the AC. I was sooooo mad. Only good thing about the whole thing, is he filled up my car with gas .......

Hey, Rose, sorry you didn't get the lead. But the fact you beat out a whole lot of talented people to even get in is huge! CONGRATS!!!!!

And just think, lots of actors started off in small parts where they were spotted & made it big. I just saw Albert Schultz, artistic director of Soulpepper, in an ep of Hitchcock the other night. He played a frat boy (maybe 2 minutes of screentime, mostly lurking in the background). Now, he's like a Canadian icon.

Your time will come. Don't stress, just enjoy life. Trust me, everything will turn out great.

Rose, I was taught in broadcasting school. Set your LIMITS, do not let anyone convince you to do something that YOU do NOT feel comfortable with. You and ONLY you know what feels comfortable.
Like an example my teacher was a single woman 38 years old never married, no kids, no boyfriend. The program director wanted to have SINGLE guys call in and enter a contest to WIN a DATE with her. She put her foot down said NO WAY! NADA, NOPE! Well she won. They then went to a male DJ who jumped the gun to do it, BUT said he would HAVE TO bring his girlfriend along! Needless to say the Program Director decided to chance the contest and have it for COUPLES! So hon never ever do anything that YOU do NOT want to do!

Not so much now as when I was younger, I would always be scribbling when I should have been doing something else. We'd go out to dinner & I'd toss off limericks. Guess that's why I'm a spinster, my first love is poetry.

thanks guys though I still feel like I blew it big time
I think it feels worse cause I know a lot of people like my aunt wanted to see me get a good lead part and then to get chorus is kind of a let down...I hope they still let me be a pink lady they have that down as part of the chorus so idk guess I wait and see I still feel crappy though I was aiming high and screwed myself over
