I've seen the flies but never poop. Does it really do that?
Haunish, I'm sorry that happened to your daughter.
My cat got home for the vet yesterday. My other three have been so mean to him. They've been hissing, growling and hitting him. He's a big cat. He weighs 20lbs, but my 8lb cat is intimidating him. I had to give him a pill today. That was fun. If you guys have ever had to pill a cat, you'll know what I'm talking about. I've got to pill him for five more days.

seek, it won't let me resend. try looking in weird places. like under notifications, or invites. i forget where it showed up when pf sent it ..ugh i hate fb almost as much as messenger.
omg yes rf, i had to do that several times. once time was so bad, i had to take the cat to the vet and have them do it. not so easy on a weekend when they're closed. my dh was awesome for doing it, he pries the jaws open and throws the pill in.
how long was the cat at the vet? they might think he's a stranger. when we got the sister of the first cat, they fought something awful. took about a week, then after she realized who it was, now they wash each other..etc. they were apart for about a month tho. sure hope your kitty feels better soon.
oh i have to tell you this. my old cat, first pee'd on the kitchen floor, then shyat infront of the porch door (no where near the litter box) and was just carrying on the other day. then all out of the blue i hear this MEOWING..from upstairs. omg, she climbed 13 stairs to go to the top floor which she hasn't seen in like 3 years????? wats up with that? freaked me out... she got back down fine tho.
oh and yes, they really do poo. ryan says the cappuchino really makes them GO. i know it works on meLast edited by NSangel; Sun, Jan 18th, 2009 at 11:28 PM.

OMG!!! Your poor daughter. Reassure her that she did nothing wrong. Animals sometimes do things that seem completely irrational, at least to us, but make perfect sense to them. Sorry, I can't remember how old your dd is. By any chance did she start using a new perfume, bath oil, cleanser, etc? Also, does she have any medical condition (allergies, diabetes, epilepsy, etc) - the cat might have reacted to that?
My friend had a rabbit who meant everything to him. She had full run of the house. She used to jump on his bed in the middle of the night, & crawl under the covers, sleeping on his shoulder til morning. One day, he woke up as usual, was petting her, then went to take a shower. When he came out, he went to reach for her. She growled, bit his hand & scratched him with her nails. He didn't know what to do, the bunny had never spent a day in a cage, but he couldn't leave her out if she might attack his elderly mother. He went to the bathroom to wash off the blood & realized he had used a new soap he'd gotten for xmas. He washed his hands with a different soap & went back to the bunny. She sniffed his hands & let him pet her. He threw out the soap & that was the one & only time she ever was aggressive.
As for the scars, I've had major surgery & the vit E is amazing for fading scars. The best stuff to use is the vit e capsules - much better than the cream. Punch a hole in the capsule & rub the oil on the scar. Best to wait a few days until it's started to heal, although I have used the vit e capsules on open wounds (I had an infected incision that had to stay open for a few days to drain).

the points word will say it's worth so many points. and give you an expiry date.
as for the chit chat.. that's what makes this forum different. we're like family. you can skip the chit chat by going here to grab the words. i don't know if lolcat updated it. someone recently edited it, and we lost the monthly hunt words.

Oh haunish am so very sorry your dd had to go through that and your family. Not only a terrifying experience but the loss of a beloved pet.
Also not making excuses but sometimes outside things can affect them. We had a cat that was the most mellow animal you'd ever meet. She was on a canned cat food after a surgery and had been on it for a couple weeks when we noticed she was doing some strange things. Then she began attacking us, chairs totally terrified (the cat was). At times we'd joke that she was battling ghost mice because of the way she was acting. When she began attacking us mom took her back to the vet and the first thing he asked her was what type of canned food had we put her on. Mom told him and as it turned out that brand of cat food had something added to it that was making the cats hallucinate. She really was seeing things and fighting for her life. Not saying this happened with your cat but like the poison and the male cat coming in and spraying PF's cat's litter, there are things that can affect them and make them act irrationally. Just wanted you to know that, I know we all took it very personal when Gimlie our cat would attack us and she was out for blood but thankfully not to extent your daughter was attacked. Just hoped it might help to know that there might of been a reason that the cat attacked that had nothing to do with jealousy or viciousness. There is no way to predict something like that but I understand how your dh feels. Not saying he shouldn't feel like that because I'd feel the same way , as if I didn't do my job properly and protect my baby which is impossible to do in that situation, it's something he had no control over but all the same something he's going to have to work through. This was a horrible trauma in so many ways for the whole family and all of you will have to work thru it don't hesitate to get help if anyone shows symptoms of not being able to work thru it on their own (unable to sleep, to concentrate, outbursts of anger, anything out of the ordinary that continues or gets worse). For a child a trauma like this can be very hard for them to deal with and put behind them. She'll probably have nightmares or just sleep extremely poorly. She should work thru it but if she's struggling you may need to get some councelling for her. Kids are pretty resillient tho but some are more sensitive and have a harder time expressing themselves. Huggggggs for you all and her will add you all to my prayer.
Rose congratulations.
I need to go I'll try to come back tomorrowLast edited by stardreamer7880; Mon, Jan 19th, 2009 at 12:40 AM.

i donno..i think we're going to have to change the name of the thread to
SC support group with bonus p&p words.
haunish, don't dwell on it because it could be a zillion things that drove the cat to do it. safety first! think that's wise to keep her home for a bit. she doesn't need the kids asking all kinds of questions (as well as staring). self esteem is so important in the tweens.
ryan did not want to wear his ski pants because they made him look FAAAAT.
? wtf? see his pic? when he turns sideways he disappears.
so the skipants WENT MISSING. for his bday, gm bought him a camoflague pair.
should i tell him that camoflauge makes everyone look fat???
on that thought, i'm off to bed. dreading going downstairs to the supercold basement..BRR!

My cousin sent me this email today... and looks like
several people have tried it and really like it.
So who is going to try it here????
(This may be the best recipe of the year)
5 MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE
(Microwave)
4 tablespoons flour
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
A small splash of vanilla extract
1 large coffee mug
Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix very well.
Add the egg and mix thoroughly.
Pour in the milk and oil and mix well.
Add the choc.chips (if using) & vanilla extract & mix again.
Put mug in the microwave & cook for 3 minutes at 100%.
The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed! Allow to cool a little and tip out onto a plate if desired. (This can serve 2 if you feel like sharing).
And why is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world?
Because now we are all only 5 minutes awayfrom chocolate cake at any time of the day or night!Last edited by RTlady; Mon, Jan 19th, 2009 at 01:26 AM.
