One of our members, LOLcat, is the official Wiki keeper - she updates the list daily (sometimes more often). The only rule we have is DON'T TOUCH THE WIKI! Some folks have tried to be helpful & messed it up. Here is the link to the Wiki:

The link is also on the first page of this thread.

Thanks for the compliments on the brats. Technically the cat is the dog's pet, since she's the one who found him, but he likes to be with me (when he's not tormenting her). I call him my jealous boyfriend, cause he always has to know what I'm doing.

I redeemed 80,000 points for a $200 angora dog sweater. Unfortunately, I didn`t read the fine print which said that size 6 meant 6lbs, clearly not big enough for my girl. But it does look nice on my cat, & living in downtown Toronto, boys can wear pink.
Here are a couple of photos:

I`ve also redeemed for a book & a dvd.

I know you'll probably all boo me for my opinion but oh well, it's just that...my opinion!
I wouldn't fight the $250 ticket. It's illegal to park in a fire zone! There should be no exceptions no matter how cold it is! It's just the law! If there would have been a fire all of a sudden and the trucks came roarin' in, they don't have time to wait for people to get out of the parking spots that are reserved in case of a fire emergency. That's just the way it is! I'm not trying to be nasty, just being serious here! The officers really enforce this and always have! When I worked at the police office we had one cop that just LOVED ticketing! And we had calendar parking (odd/even days) and if they were not properly parked, they got a ticket. Winter was especially bad as it made it difficult for the snow cleaning crews to clear the streets if cars/trucks were parked wrongly. Sort of like when you see a vehicle parked in a wheelchair only zone but they don't have a wheelchair sign on their plate/mirror. I feel really bad for that person that may really need that parking spot that can't have it
You have every right to appeal your ticket but chances are you will have to pay for it. Even if the car is running, it's still considered "parked". Not trying to go against everyone elses opinion but I just look at it in a bigger picture. What IF there would have been a fire? I know chances are slim, but, it can happen! All of a sudden the fire trucks come and they can't access their zone. So, they aren't as close to the building as they should be. So, a child sustains multiple burns in the fire because of whatever reason. That family would then say "The firetruck was in the parking lot but they weren't even doing anything". Nowadays $250 isn't a large amount of money and to me, it's a very small price to pay to remind us that we do have these little laws that we do need to follow as you NEVER KNOW.
Okay, steppin' off my soap box now! Sorry it happened to you though...it's a lesson learned. One good thing, this topic has now refreshed everyone's memory that it IS illegal to park in a fire zone. So, thank you for sharingNo hard feelings please, just my opinion

Have you tried contacting breeders to see if they have any retired show dogs? Sometimes the puppy a breeder wants to show ends up getting too big or too small or something isn't quite perfect. My great-uncle had a German Shepherd whose ear was a smidge crooked, which ruled him out of being a show dog. I know of someone who got a 5 month old puppy who was house-trained, & knew lots of commands, but because her teeth grew in crooked, she couldn't be shown, so the breeder found her a "retirement" home.
Here's the link to the Canadian Kennel Club. You might want to look under Toy breeds & see if any of them suit your personality. A caveat about Cavaliers (Cavalier King Charles Spaniels) - I have a friend who used to breed them - they have a lot of serious health problems, so you might want to avoid them right now (the skinny is that some breeders are mixing in other spaniels to try to get rid of the genetic defect that causes a really heartbreaking early death).

If you really want a puppy, avoid pet stores. The puppies are way more expensive there than through a breeder (sometimes 3 times as much).
Here's the official info from the breed club on Chihuahuas:
http://www.canadasguidetodogs.com/toys/chil_clubs.htm
& here's a list of some breeders:
http://www.canadasguidetodogs.com/to...s_breeders.htm
& if there isn't a breeder in your area, you might want to contact them anyway, they network & prolly know someone where you are.
Hope this helps.
