okay so they changed our forecast AGAIN. now it's starting at noon hour. icepellets, rain mixed with snow. lots of freezing rain tommorrow. going to be messsy. was supposed to take my mom out today, she calls with this news.

well what if you came in here, (30 mins away) dh and ds went to church (20 mins back) then they picked us up after church (noon hour) to take us out?

mom that's the same thing as if they picked me up after church (10 mins away) and then went to your house. we still wouldn't get shopping til after lunch!

We have snow this morning, about 2" so far with another heavy band due in about 1-1/2 hours. This is the first we have had since we moved here about 3 yrs ago. The kids in the neighborhood are going nuts.

With all the talk of recipes on here, it got me to pull out the slow cooker (hadn't used it in ages!) and I tried the Pulled Pork. Had it on a bun the first night........that was good, but not an "oh wow". Last night, hubby had the great idea.......let's have nachos with it!!! That was an "oh wow".....it was awesome!!!!!! Just spread some nachos on a plate, top with pulled pork, then chopped spring onions, green peppers or whatever you fancy and top that lot with grated cheese. It is so yummy!!!!!

I love theatre so its all good just hate missing supper cause we go from 4-8 and dont get a long enough break to go buy supper so we just bring snacks lol apparently im being taken out for supper again tonight after rehearsal but idk she may have forgotten all ready

Isn't that the tastiest of nachos?? Lucy's (a Cajun Restaurant)
have them on their menu and hubby is addicted. And a lot less

It's snowing like heck here and the freezing rain is suppose to come later! I don't think it will be very nice tomorrow morning The ground is already covered and it only started snowing about an hour ago Sure doesn't take long!

I can't wait to see what new items will be put out on Pet Society! I have almost 30,000 coins to spend!!! Woohooooooo and I'll be getting my 7th room real soon It's so exciting! I finally got the wall scroll lastnight and I got the little elephant stuffed toy! I already have the jester doll but am so wanting the trash can! Good luck everyone in the game

we got icepellets here. and i had just left zellers, got all the way into hfx and realized they over charged me on chefboyardee. by $10!!! so all the way back. but i did get 2 sets of dishes at a good price. $50 for 12.50, so i bought 2 sets cause you know, they break and then u don't got a set of 4 no more.

anyway.. besides the usual 4 mugs, 4 deep dish plates, 4 small salad plates, 4 cereal bowls, it came with a big spoon rest, salt and pepper shakers and a napkin holder. if i can snag the cellphone later i'll take a pic of pattern. i like it it's so italian..mama mia!

heres the recipe NS:

6 pork chops
1 tsp ginger
1/2 cup soy sauce
4 cloves garlic, chopped
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp 5 spice powder
1/4 cup ketchup

Put chops in crockpot, mix other ingredients together and pour evenly over top. Cook on low 6-8 hours or high for 4 hours

I have no ginger so I made without that and the 5 spice and just put in my own spices, was delicious, today I added a bit of italian dressing to cover chops a bit more and my dh is going nutz with smelling it hes counting down already

I usually make that recipe with rice and pour some of the suace over top, but today I am making scalloped potatoes with.
