I've said it before but I'll say it again...being able to get out of bed and move about and get things done. For many that is easier said than done.

My husband. Sometimes I watch him sleep, and I wonder how I got so lucky. Staying happily married is not luck, of course; it is commitment, a good attitude, and (sometimes) real work. But meeting in the first place...sheer luck.

For being woken up by a dog who bounded on to the bed to tell me it was dawn, and "Time to get up!" My dog Hope is an little alarm clock that needs to be fed.

I refuse to give up.....I have made certain tweaks to my diet regimen over the last say 3-4 weeks .
Past success combined with my overconfidence saw me free wheeling with the food choices and/or portions!
So I chose to return to Phase 1 again and finally today my home scale rewarded my ego with a drop in lbs!
( by my numbers I am now down 56 lbs since end of Oct! )
If all holds well on Sat when the official Clinic scale numbers pop up I'll be shimmying in my seat driving back home! ha ha
So grateful that I had the opportunity to accept responsibility to care for my own health.
Not everyone gets that chance.
I had heard my body ( for years ) when it cried out in pain but I never wanted to change too much, ya know?
Have my cake and you know the rest
With every muscle that gets a little stronger in physio, for each time I don't have to groan when I bend over to tie up my sneakers or pant breathlessly after climbing a flight of stairs I say thank you to the Universe!Last edited by walkonby; Wed, Mar 27th, 2019 at 03:14 PM.

It is a simple thing, but simple things can be the most important. I am thankful for getting a good, solid night's sleep that has left me feeling 10 years younger.
