Thanks operabob for your response about coupons and 10% off Tuesday. As it turned out, I found $39 worth of goods to buy and as I was fumbling around for my coupons (not a deliberate move - just my usual MO) the cashier asked about 10% or 10X. So the 10% came off 1st, then the coupons. In the end, since I used $5.00 worth of coupons, I only spent $34.00. I hope I didn't break any rules .

Good example for the valuing method this week:
Safeway has 12 Double Roll Purex 6.99 B2G40
Walmart has 24 Double Roll Purex 9.97
Not counting the AirMiles 2 x 12 at Safeway = 2 x $6.99 = $13.98
So which is the better deal? Safeway at $13.98 + 40AMs or WalMart at $9.97?
Valuing the average AM at $0.14 Safeway's effective price is $4.19/12 or $8.38/24
Effectively Safeway is 16% cheaper than WalMart this week on Purex.
If you know you're going to use the AMs towards a gift card valued at $0.125/AM then effectively Safeway's Purex is effectively $8.98 for 24 double rolls and still $0.99 cheaper than Wal-Mart.
Use the AMs for flights, 2 for 1 movie tickets, etc. and it's even better.

1.) Has the B3G40 one liter Coke offer ended? It was supposed to run until July2 according to the signs on the shelves but my store has taken the signs down.
2.) Good score.
Hunt's Canned tomatoes 4 varieies are on for $1.75 each B3G15 but there was a booklet at my store that included $1 off coupons on 2 varieties.
Made them $0.75 each with 5 AMs
Valuing at $0.14/AM makes them effectively $0.05/tin
