It's hard to believe that tomorrow is September. I will officially be back on call as a substitute teacher for the next 10months. I'm wanting to get as many days of work as possible and I do not want to take any days off work without pay in order to maintain my high level of involvement in my volunteer healthcare position.

    Good Morning,
MrsS I am with you, I have been up since 6, I have the dishes started and am starting to make a list of what I need to get done today. Number one item on my list after dishes is prepping for the week, our eating has been horrible, a lot of eating out, my lunches were not as healthy as normal so today I must prep. I will work from there.

    Have a great day everyone

PS I cannot believe it is September.

Angela-hope you get lots of teaching stints! Lazy weekend here-on Saturday took DD out to buy a new cell phone( to replace the one that fell in the toilet in Germany and then was confiscated in Amsterdam!). Good thing she had her earnings from her summer job-DH and I would buy ( and did for ourselves) a cheaper, less fancy model but she has to figure out her own wants and needs with her own earnings within her budget. We ended up buying it at Staples and they offered a $40 replacement warranty for 2 years. We never buy a warranty but we advised her to buy this and she did. Getting her back out for some more driving practice as she has been gone most of the summer. We bought her a monthly bus pass for back to school and starting today she can use it for eg to go out shopping with her friend and catch the bus which should cut down on our chauffeuring duties!

My Mum is doing very well and will be moving back to my brothers on Thursday. DH starts his P/T job of lunchtime playground supervision tomorrow and I plan to catch up on paperwork etc until my friend has her second set of twins and then I will be hopping!

I am up too and ready to get going. But another fun day lol. Taking a drive to the casino since we have a free buffet coupon. Figure we will go again since hockey and the white stuff will start and we won't have any free time. Winter we are getting tons of house projects done so have to enjoy theses free days. I have to prep my meals too as I am back on my no bread, suger etc plan. Bought fish yesterday so will cook that up weekly for meals. Chicken is on sale so will be stocking up on that too.

Good morning! My day started at 2 a.m. - WAY too early than my usually 3 to 4, gah.
I'll have to head back for a nap, my eyes are getting sleepy already.

Our son is coming for supper after he works on our van, so I'm going to make an extra-yummy meal!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Well it is September, my favorite month, love the change of seasons and the crisp air in the mornings.
I have been crazy busy at the golf course and looking forward for it to be done. I cater a meal for 60 on Wednesday and that is my last big job, which I am looking forward to, I will only be doing light lunches and baking after that until the course closes in October. It has been way too stressful juggling the long hours and caring for my son, he is still pretty helpless until he gets his cast on on Wednesday. My husband is gone to Prince Rupert halibut fishing for a week ( hope they catch lots) so I am thankful he has lots of buddies that have been entertaining him while I am at work.
Lots of goals for September, ,mostly organizing and purging more stuff and doing a good fall clean before the snow sets in. My daughters and I will also start our batch cooking next week which is something I love to do with them and it saves so much time on busy nights.
    Have a great day everyone!!

I made certain to flip the wall calendar page to September last night. Changed my SC signature too.
Have to figure out temporary job options with aim to have money this month to repay family member the funds used for my recent healthcare visits.
Still doing some purging of things. Will write up a wish list as well of what I'd like to see come into my life this month.
Last night, downloaded a couple of e-books about nutrition from the library website. Need to determine which food sources of specific vitamins and minerals I will actually eat in order to boost my intake.
Gift card contests for stores I'd like to shop in have been a focus last week-the back to school flyers and promotions have been helpful.

    Wow, where did summer go?
DS#1 starts high school Tuesday. Saw my brother and his kids on the weekends for our birthday celebration as 3 of the 4 grandkids have their bday within two weeks of each other. My 16 yr. old nephew reminded me about the SPC card and then went on to explain how much money he saves with it.I was very impressed with his enthusiasm for saving money. Now DS#1 is totally on board and will be buying one two. It gives 10% off to students at a lot of stores.
Will be back later with my September Savings plan.

Good morning everyone! Happy Labour Day and hope everyone can rest like I will. For us, it look like fall pretty much all summer. We did not have a summer, just 2, 3 days a couple of times. I always like Fall. I go in the trails with my DH and we admire the nature and it's beautiful colors. For me this month is to not spend as much. I went a little over board this month + Babies Showers and Birthdays. I also want to bring more down the $ spend on grocery. I have to watch myself as some times I can spend way to much for nothing and wen it could beeing advoided.

    Again, Happy Labour Day everyone..................

TSk you ppl... no one woke me up at 7!! grr.
i set my alarm, i did.. then fell asleep.. but after a hard 8+ hours i was tired.
then went to make my chicken soup.. someone ate all the chicken.. figures. now its only laundry to contend with.
OH and all my craft stuff to sell. someone actually wanted to come in and 'shop' through my items. uh no. it says in my ad all items are bagged and 'ready to go'..
im really hoping that someone i know personally buys everything for their business. one swoop and gone.. oh please.
and.... its raining. perfect. cooled it down nicely though.. wow.
anyway. off to the races. enjoy your last long weekend day of the summer.. oh and dh says 'theres still 3 more weeks to summer people'. LOL

My brother woke me up when he called about 10 this morning. Not much going on here today except the usual. Should bake some muffins but probably won`t get to it. It`s one of those things that I put off doing.
Hope everyone is enjoying their long weekend.
