@Ciel21 thank you ( I think? ) lol. Here I am wearing my weight reduction goody two shoes crown ( it's only been 2 weeks since I've gone back on it )
but I've just printed off the 3 recipes you posted above....grrrr! They sound so good!
A practical reason to make them is I already have the peeled sliced apples in the freezer ( from our tree 2 years ago ) and nearly all the ingredients
needed for the chx curry in the stockroom and fridge.
I can see me making up that super easy recipe of the Strawberry pretzel salad as a dessert for Christmas Day! Mmmm.

@walkonby Recipe sections are really something else in terms of capturing different regions' food favourites. If you make that strawberry salad, I'd want to know how the salty pretzels goes with those strawberries. Ooh, chicken curry-dinner at your house!

Had some Bananas that were past their prime, think after today they would have been past Banana Muffins, so they were turned into Banana Muffins.

Truth be told, I want to make all the muffins all today, Banana, Lemon Ricotta, and Blueberry, I want muffins, muffins and more muffins but for now, I will stop at the Banana.

@Arjon now look at that eh? I saw your word " boule " and figured it was a typo for bowl. Not so fast....I then googled " in baking bread what is a boule ? " This came up.

and now I know exactly how to make my round loaves turn out perfectly round! I also learned that fighting with my pizza dough when trying to roll it out
simply requires that I let it rest some more. Thanks for posting that word! lol

I have some apples I need to use up, they are a little past the eating stage so I made Nanny's Special Apple Pie, not my Nanny, my Nanny did not bake.

It is a mix between an apple pie and a cobbler. All the apples are in the bottom of the pan with almost like a shortbread crust but it has egg in it.

Ugh, it overflowed well baking, ugh, opened the oven to a big puff of smoke so now need to clean that up.

If anyone has a pound of fresh or frozen strawberries waiting for a dish to jump into, how about
Oven Roasted Strawberry S'Mores? (yes, @walkonby, I could not resist this strawberry recipe find!)

    Prep time: 20min; cooking time: 30min. Serves 8 s'mores

    1 lb. California Strawberries
    2-3 tbsp. honey
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    8 large marshmallows
4 milk chocolate bars, halved (I assume these are the personal size bars at checkout, not the family size ones)
8 honey graham cracker sheets, broken into 8 squares each

    1) Preheat oven to 450F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper (I'd check the temp rating of your paper (400F limit is common; use Silpat silicon instead)

2)Combine strawberries, honey and vanilla extract. Transfer mixture to baking sheet.

    3) Bake for 20-25 minutes, remove from oven, and allow berries to cool. Once cooled, transfer roasted berries to a glass jar or serving dish.

    4) Toast marshmallows under broiler on a pan until golden and gooey.

    5) Drizzle drizzle roasted marshmallows with berries; assemble s'mores : cracker, 1/2 choc. bar, marshmallow/berries mixture, cracker.

I have some Lemons I need to use up, plus an open container of Ricotta Cheese so I make Lemon Ricotta Muffins.

Then I have an open container of Cream Cheese and a Craving so I made Cream Cheese Swirl Brownies, although I cheated and used a Brownie Mix.

Last night it was 2 pans of bars, a lemony cream cheese one and another with an Oreo crumb bottom, sweetened condensed milk on that, then pressed into the milk, slivered almonds, dried cranberries, red and green mini smarties and flaked coconut. My! both turned out great, they are cut, wrapped and in the freezer for Christmastime.

Then just a half hour ago I pulled 2 pizzas from the oven. The crust was already made and baked ( store bought ) but the toppings I put on were a homemade soft spreadable herb/garlic cream cheese mixture, red pepper flakes, asparagus cut into 1" lengths, cooked and crumbled bacon and feta, grated Mozzarella and bits of fresh tomato.
No red pasta sauce in this recipe.
Once they are fully cooled I will divide them into very slender slices, wrap air tight and freeze for one of the buffet offerings on the 17th ( a b'day thing ).
I am feeling a nap coming on.

I am making Broccoli Cheddar Soup for lunches this week and I like a little something to go with it so I made an Italian Parmesan Focaccia this morning in my skillet.
