I like crafts but I'm more "arsty" than "handy" I suppose

I don't scrapbook avidly but I had to make a couple for school assignments and I love them. Also helped my mom (who did most of the work) make me a ham costume for my English presentation on To Kill a Mockingbird (for those who don't know, the main character dresses as a ham for her school's Halloween pageant).
I can't seem to find a picture at the moment though, but I'll post if I dig it up!
I love making things and designing things overall. I also love photography, painting, sketching, working with coloured pencils and the like. Drawing usually gets me frustrated but I still enjoy it.

Right now, I am really wanting to make a pencil case. I've decided to do something like this design:

(dang, the fabric is sooooo cute!
)
I need to get an 11 inch zipper, outside fabric, inside liner fabric, interfacing (which i have never used before
) , and I only have $15 in my paypal account, and there are WAY TOO MANY CUTE FABRICS TO CHOOSE FROM ON ETSY my gosh. I swear, that's the hardest part.

I would go to a local store and get a roll end to make something this small but I'm pretty broke so maybe even go through my closet/cupboards and find something I never wear that has a zipper and repurpose it into the pencil case. Post a pic when you get it done it looks cool.

Had computer problems on the weekend, so to get my frustrations out, I made earrings (stone chips & shells & silver plated).
Still trying to figure out the perfect design for my friend's b-day.

Something I like to do is bookbinding. I only started about a year ago, but it's one thing I've actually *stuck* to. I tend to get bored fast and totally ditch things, but I've kept coming back to this (I even bought a new table just so I had some space to store my things and to work on... My back was starting to kill me working on the floor all the time).
Here's a couple that I've made:

(sorry this one's so big... It's actually really tiny in person as it's sitting on a penny
)
