By the way we have the same bylaw here in Montreal North. They have warned some of my neighbors who put in massive driveways instead of grass.
I also have less than 30% grass in my front. It's mostly garden but they never warned me yet.Last edited by Patty Smyth; Tue, Jul 24th, 2012 at 08:16 AM.

I can understand when it comes to massive driveways and not wanting to overload the city's sewers but the city bans a front yard garden period. Not everyone has the required sun in their backyards and as long as it's well maintained... what the hell is the difference between having a front yard full of perennial flowers or full of veggies.

People could complain on everything but I can't understand city going on the same way as the people who complain for that kind of purpose.
Hey this is a garden in front yard, not someone doing party and noise all night long, not doing something really illegal... just something useful and different.Liberty of one finish where liberty of the other one start

Does anyone here know anything about real estate?
Say you are selling a property and you have a real estate agent. Does the real estate agent have to inform the seller if they are the buyer's agent as well?
I remember hearing something about it on one of those real estate TV shows on HGTV, but I don't remember the details.
If anyone can guide me to a website about this -- especially pertaining to Quebec, that would also be very appreciated.
Merci!

Super_e, when we sold our old home 4 years ago, we had a bunch of offers the first day we showed the house. Of those that offered, our agent also put forward an offer from one of her other clients. I remember she made it clear to us that they were also her clients but, I'm not sure if it's mandatory to divulge that info. In my mind (in regards to our agent anyways), I didn't think she could work in the best interest of both us and the buyers so we refused that particular offer.
If you want to make sure, you can always call the OACIQ for more info. 450-462-9800 http://www.oaciq.com/~RRLF $0.75 Organic Meadow, $1 Almond Fresh~

Thank you so so so much snuff!!!
Ok, next question, what is the difference between a real estate agent, and a real estate broker?
The site you sent me to was for brokers. And I managed to find a wonderful paragraph in one of the PDF, but I'm not sure it's the correct association.
Are there any associations for Agents in Quebec?

An agent works for a broker, eg. Remax Brossard is a broker and an agent would be affiliated with that broker. The site I linked to is for both brokers and agents. The same real estate laws apply to both.

Metro is 3/5$. Not as good as the 99¢ sale, but not that bad.

Monsieur Intégré ??? Does this actually translate into a Built-in mister (something that mists, not a Mr.)
My French isn't that good, but if I was single I'd be buying this thing for other reasons.
