I still gotta go and eat dinner, but I just realized that "Doggie, Love Thingie" could possibly cut down the doggy population which in turn would cut down all the unwanted doggies in the shelters etc. etc. etc.!!!!!....get out there and get one, keep that doggy satisfied so he won't be running out to get the next little lassie doggy he spies!!!

Wouldn't the "Bob Baker" be a better idea?
The only question I cannot answer... why?

Hey, does anyone know, do you have to be subscribed to a thread to give rep in it?

I don't see the Rep icon when viewing other threads. Thanks,

Just tried a thread to which I do not subscribe. Could rep away (Hey BillyJack!), so, that can't be the problem ..... but haven't a clue as to what it may be. Shaman seems to know a great deal about the entire SC site - you might try PMing him or a moderator.

The icon only stays up for so long. Go to more recent posts and you will be fine

Welcome to Smart Canucks TerriBerri. I remember the Bayer Children's Aspirins. (no childproof bottles back then)

Luden's were great. Haven't seen them in a long time. I liked the Smith Brothers Cherry Cough Drops.

    Hope these will help.

When we were searching for a pup we made the trip quite often. Then came the puppy training classes and we were up there weekly for about 10 weeks. Now, we regularly go to their annual Puppy Party (they invite all their dogs and their owners to an annual BBQ). Long story short (no it's not I just said that for effect ...)

Each and every time we've passed Haugen's - winter, spring, summer or fall - it's been bumper-to-bumper cars in the parking lot and many times, with people LINING UP outside. My daughter and I keep saying "we have to come back here - gotta be good eats". But as it would take us over an hour to get there (well over if I do the speed limit), to coin a phrase, is it worth the drive to Port Perry?
Location, Location, Location plus service is my only guess to their sucess?
I like Swiss Chalet BBQ sauce way better, Hauggens taste like ketchup. Prices are OK and service is second to none, if you order a beer before dinner you''ll only be half done by the time dinner hits the table. They have tried opening satellite locations in Oshawa and Whitby and they didn't do great. Oshawa may be still alive on north Simcoe, Whitby was gone in a year. Not quite sure why that one location in the middle of nowhere does so great but it's a licence to print money as fast as Tim Hortons. Cruise nights can be fun, lots of interesting people and cars.

I just introduced my kids to Gumby and Pokey. They watched 3 of the 51 episodes that I just finished downloading. I guess they liked them. I have to copy them onto my daughter's computer for their trip to visit their grandparents this week.

    Hahah! You've got that right!

Actually, their grandparents wanted to take them to the High School Musical play this Thursday, so the kids will go visit from Wednesday to Friday.
