Well, it was quite the afternoon and evening, but somehow I think things are settling in okay.
Taffy has been acting very differently than when she had Pepsi last year. All she wanted to do was spend time with me - then with my husband and son when they came home.
Well before that what I did was put the box on the couch and sat beside it, so Taffy could come be in the box, be with the kitten, and I could still pet Taffy. That worked so at least the kitten was kept warm.
(Please keep in mind that I wasn't lazy doing this, I have a hurt back, and it was getting really tough on me continually bending down below a table where the box was to keep returning Taffy to it and petting her, etc.)
Anyway, husband and son came home, so we returned the box where it was, and they took turns coralling Taffy and returning her to the kitten. When the kitten mews for her, she doesn't go right back, but will if one of us walks over there - very odd...
Well, now that it's 8 p.m., Taffy has spent more time with the kitten, kitten is warm and quiet, feeding - so those are all good things!
It's a cute kitten - not going to be a tabby with markings like his dad, but has a mostly white face, white ring around his neck and around tail. Mostly white legs, fawn under chin, the rest dark brown - so far - they can change!
Pepsi will go over and wash Taffy's head when she's in the box, but if she gets out of it, he goes after her to jump on her and grab her neck - idiot! So we'll banish him to the basement for the night.

OMG - At 8:30, Taffy delivered another kitten - wowsers! In the box, with the other kitten nursing, no fuss...

HOLY COW - As I am typing, kitten #3 has come! We figured she was way too big for just one.

Kitten number 3, cute little sneezes! Light colour, not sure if white or not. Taffy was born all white, and so was one of her littermates at the time - and Taffy turned out to have Ragdoll features and the other was part Snowshoe Lynx.

Second two, fighting over a nip...
ok, now the fun begins.
They sound SO cute when they all meow like a choir!

Oh, happy day, Granny Natalka! With 3 of them....well, I can just see you beaming from here! Thank goodness they're all healthy and feeding well...I imagine with 2 other kittens to birth, Taffy wanted to be soothed by you and your menfolk...poor wee thing, she must be spent!

I know you'll be posting pictures...can't wait to see them!

Poor kitty, she must be tired...hopeflly she will settle for the night now...looking forward to seeing pictures, hopefully you'll be able to get some rest tonight Natalka...

Hi fellow cat lovers! Well here's a first for me. My kitty Apollo has had diarrhea and some of the poop has stuck to his longish fur. He really stinks. Friend of mine said I should lower his butt into a sink full of warm water. I got him when he was a year old, and I doubt he's ever had a bath, so this is going to be interesting to say the least!

Good luck French lady - do it in the bathroom sink, it's easier. Kind of drape his front over one side (he'll probably grab on something), put him in kind of a football hold, put some warm water and soap in the sink, get that butt in there and clean it up, then rinse (I know it's all yucky). Have a big towel ready to put him in til some of the wet soaks up, hug him lots, then let him go to be mad and lick himself off.

Hi Natalka! Thanks for the advice. Well, stinky butt got his butt lowered into the sink today. He struggled, but he didn't scratch. I wasn't able to get all of it off and he still stinks somewhat so I'll have to do it again tomorrow. Oh what we go through for our kitties!
