    Kitty is an inside/outside one.
Grandpa says he is just skittish, DW says it is just cooler outside.
Today he seems better, but like with a kid I worry .

sorry think this idea is very old but yet, asking have you
    seen this,,,and would you,,,

basically you cut the kittys nails, put glue on them, and paste those
things on ,,,,(been around for years,,,)
lots of info, you do this, and they don't scratch apparently, and replace them, when you need too, yikesky
way too big,,,sorry---doesn't work anywhere else

I have used them, they are hard to get on but good for training kitty without getting scratched - they don't need them anymore though, just clip claws regularly

    Look super cute though

I've been very lucky in that Quincy doesn't scratch anything he shouldn't. He did try to test his boundaries once, & extended his claws while reaching up to touch the piano. I think the humiliation of having to wear booties for 2 days convinced him never to try that again.

I've been sorting through some documents & I put this box on its side to discourage Quincy cat from getting in. You can see how well that plan worked.

Oh & this is what happened when I told Lily dog to put her stuffed doggy in her toybox (guess toybox & cat's bed sounded the same to her?). I suppose I should be grateful it wasn`t her Kong I asked her to put away.

oh, what a great thread. If not for DH, I would have probably ended up being crazy cat lady-- a spinster with 146 cats sharing my space, since I am completely unable to turn a stray away.

I'm so dedicated to the felines, I created a "cat club" when I was 8--which was basically "playing school" but learning about cats. My mom was my first and only member. LOL.

I have 2 cats. One is a tortiseshell female who is very loving and unfortunately, very obese. The other (admittedly my favourite) is an orange/white tabby whom most people describe as "psychotic." Personally, I think she's just got a lot of character.

    She is:
    * an awesome fetcher of ear plugs
*a pretty good piano player. I just wish it wasn't at 3am
*excellent hunter of mice and thank goodness because I am terrified of those creatures (ever notice that cat owners usually don't like mice???)
*is a petty thief. If you take a coveted object (ie. ear plug, rubber snake, elastic band) and place it somewhere and tell her "no stealing," she will immediately figure out a way to reach said object then run away with it. But she likes the game a lot so it isn't long before she comes to you with the coveted object she's stolen and drops it at your feet. So I guess that makes her a petty thief with a conscience
*smart enough to have out-smarted the baby proof latches on all the cupboards
*vindictive enough to seek revenge through creative ways when she is mad at you.

Unfortunately, the petty thief is getting old and it's only a matter of time before we lose her. We've already had at least 3 death scares in the past year. I will be very sad when she finally goes.

Okay, what do you kitty lovers think of this?

Both my roommate and I have kitty's, they're about 4 months apart in age. My little girl is allowed to roam at night and get into stuff (it's either that or lock her in my room and her perching on me all night trying to get me to wake up and play. When my roommate goes to bed, for the most part she brings her cat to bed with her and locks him in the room, but recently he's gotten into the habit of hiding under my bed after ten pm, and not getting out, even for food (:O). So I'm thinking he's a bit on the nocternal side like my girl, but when he's locked in the room he's more or less forced to sleep. And has decided that hiding under my bed is his best bet to being able to stay up and play (and they do play a lot at night, chasing each other and wrastlin'). So I guess, is my analysis of the situation right? I feel so bad, because Petra gets sooooo loud and meow's a lot when she can't find her boy

And yes he's on three dog beds, on top of a pillow on an arm chair.

I have 3 cats Blue 8 yr old siamese, Indy 5 yr old marmalade tabby, and Murphy an orange and white polydactyl. Murphy does some pretty funny things...but the funniest we have seen yet is...if you have a treat for him and tell him to sit and take nice he will sit on command and take the treat nice We call Murphy our kitty dog

I have never seen those kitty nails ...where do you get them ??

Thankfully Jezz never has used the furniture to exercise her nails ....not sure why but hey I am thrilled !!

She does use her scratch toys
I was a bit concerned after being so excited about my cat condo I bought her that she didn't like it ..
as she was totally ignoring it..turns out when we took it apart and put it back together the right way and moved it she loves it...
the only thing I can figure is the little fuss pot did not like the location !!
