Geez! Was he buying prunes? I think he needs some...something is clearly stuck up his behind.
Oh, wait, prunes won't be enough to get his head out of there.Raisin cookies that look like chocolate chip cookies are one of the main reasons I have trust issues.

Pumpkin this is the best! If the opportunity ever occurs I'm going to use it. With permission of course.

Some people's kid....honestly, what was he thinking
Guess he's the type of person who would rather work 80 hours a week and complain how expensive everything is and how he has no time to do anything..... there's a place for people like him

I would have laughed at him, and than said, well actually if i go on welfare I am actually not doing you a favour since tax dollars go towards that right? And these are coupons and I like to save money so I am able to provide more for my family. So i think I am actually doing very good.
Have a nice day sir, your horse and buggy await!Last edited by saveadollardiva; Thu, May 31st, 2012 at 01:11 PM.

Omgosh....sometimes I'm surprised by ppl like this...other times not so much. I always say "Thank you for shopping the way YOU do, cause if everyone shopped they way I DO manufacturers would STOP sending out coupons!" Then smile sweetly.......

sounds like he was deliberately trying to offend you...who knows why some people feel compelled to make comments on how other people shop. I would have told him that I was part of a coupon cult and waved my coupons under his disapproving nose. ha!

Would of lost it. Said something like "These are coupons, not food stamps, there is a big difference, maybe in your old age your eyes are failing you. Its very rude of you to suggest I go on welfare when I have a full time job and do not need to scam the government when there are so many more people truly needing it"
I can't believe what a donkey hole this person was to you!Insert Clever Signature Here

unbelievable! because taking government hand outs is the exact same thing as accessing savings for your family. (rolls eyes) with the cost of things now adays, i think its a crime not to do the best you can to keep your bills down. isn't it the same thing as turning down your heat or driving less to save on gas? geez, some people!!

yes, because we all enjoy throwing away our hard earned money (how ever much of it!) for no good reason? You know a lot of people with tonnes of money got it by being smart! Couponing = smart . poor guy is probobly living off a pention too. Could likely use some coupons to help!

I have had the *rolling eyes* *heavy sighs*, and * snorts* But i have never had to deal with anything this rude. I can only quess that I would react with an apology. " Sorry, I didn't realize that saving money to help support my kids would offend you more then....... say, you paying higher taxes to support my children for me" I have had a couple of offers from people behind me, to help them with their shopping. Once my cashier at SOF, rang up my purchases and the total came to $145, I apologied to the fellow behind me because I had a stack of coupons, he smiled and said "no biggie, I am in no hurry". The cashier swiped my card, and starting ringing in coupons, looked at me looked back at the screen and said congratulations, you just saved 76 dollars. I thought the guys behind me was going to faint as his draw hit the floor, I was walking out of the store with a huge cart full that only cost me $69. He asked me outside if I gave shopping lessons :D
